All,
I've found that the general-Alert box in the "default" theme dashboard "normal" setting behaves different.
This is how it is in the Other (Overige) tab:
And this is in the dashboard tab:
Is this the designed behavior, if not what can I do about it to make them both show as in the Other (Overige) tab?

What version are you on ? Mine is :
Version: 2025.2 (build 17001)
Compile Date: 2026-01-02 07:28:21
I dont see the truncated text on the dashboard, it puts the text on the dashboard on the next line (the text that is on you picture is out of the window is put on a newline). Maybe someting changed in one of the latest beta's for text device ?

I dont know if you can setup a test environment on a spare rpi or SD card and see if it behaves the same on more recent build ?athoopen wrote: Thursday 29 January 2026 10:02 This is mine:

I would never do such a test on production, as it can be a hassle to revert back to an older version if needed.
The only thing is i dont see the same behavior on mine, i have 6 alerts sensors on my dashboard and 3 text devices. All look fine at my side

Re: General-Alert behaves different
Would love to debug but currently running out of time. It all works but it's just annoying.
