I am on the brink of setting up a new system, migrating from an old Raspberry release to the latest. Currently I am using Zigbee for Domoticz, which has been complaining for a long time now that it is no longer supported and I should upgrade. But upgrading is not possible on this old Raspberry release.
So, bottom line, I really need to migrate. I'm not worried about the 30 or so RF devices, or the LUA scripts.
They will probably need a bit of attention, but that's OK.
The four Tuya lightbulbs I have left will be replaced by Zigbee bulbs very soon.
Brings me to the biggest worry. I have a Conbee-II, connected to the "Zigbee for Domoticz" plugin. In total I have 147 devices, plus the four new ones (replacing the Tuya lamps) it will be 151. Migration is a big job, if it requires manual action.
What is my best choice? Use the same plugin in the new setup? Will the devices migrate effortless?
Or should I bite the bullet and go for ZIgbee2MQTT?
In both options, would it require re-pairing all devices?
Zigbee2MQTT or ZigbeeForDomoticz - which one?

Why is it a big job? When you update the system to a new OS and update the plugin and copy the zigbee configuration nothing you have to do.... It autmatically remembers the Domoticz devices as you keep the Conbee stick.
For Zigbee2MQTT you have to probably pair every new device. But even there it could just work without issues as the pairing is done and stored on the Conbee stick. But I have no experience with this.

Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)

Ah, that's interesting. Pairing is stored in the Cobee stick! Makes sense.
So I guess that would be the easiest, simple stick with the ZIgbee for Domoticz plugin, and see what happens.
Next step is to find out where the configuration is stored!

Well, I guess I'm not very lucky with Zigbee.
In the process of migrating to a new Bookworm setup, I created a new Domoticz and am now trying to add ZigbeeForDomoticz.
Followed the installation instructions on the Wiki to the letter (I know there are some peculiarityies there), and all is well.
Restarted Domoticz.
Until I try to add the plugin to the hardware: the entry is supposed to be all the way at the bottom, but it isn't. I can find no trace.
Of course I assumed "my mistake", so I removed the directory from the plugins, and re-did the whole procedure. Still nothing.
Am I missing something?

OK, I found that one. For some reason plugins were not enabled. I changed security settings to allow local network, and now it loads the plugins... not sure why.
On to the next hurdle: trying to get all devices back...

Still no luck, but I had a spare Rodret switch that has not been paired yet, so I tried that.
Enabled new devices in both Domoticz and Zigbee, and put the switch in pairing mode.
It is accepted by Zigbee, and a widget is created in Domoticz. I enabled the device.
So far, so good. But when I press a button on the ARodret remote control, nothing happens! No activity in the Zigbee dashboard, nothing on the Domoticz log.
