Enphase - Last update more then 1 hour ago from inverter

Post by Gingerpale »

Recently I get every minute the following Error log messages after (every) sunset and the errors stop when the panels start producing power again the next morning.
Example for IQ7_1:

Code: Select all

2025-09-01 07:00:33.592 Error: Solar Panels: Last update more then 1 hour ago from inverter: "IQ7_1" (2025-08-31 20:21:33, serial: 123456789012)
2025-09-01 07:01:36.330 Error: Solar Panels: Last update more then 1 hour ago from inverter: "IQ7_1" (2025-08-31 20:21:33, serial: 123456789012)
I am running Domoticz latest (beta) version on Rpi4B Bookworm with "Enphase Envoy with LAN (HTTP) interface. Version: D8.3.5167" with "poll interval: 60 sec", "poll inverters: enabled", "inverter details: detailed" and "don't read metered values: disabled".
I didn't make any changes in my settings and I never had these errors before. Strange thing is that the IQ7_x devices in Utility-tab keep updating "0 Watt" every 5 min after sunset. I understand I can turn off "Log Level: Error" in "Hardware" but then I lose all errors.
Anybody experiencing similar behavior?

I added this feature because some users had removed some IQ inverters and they where still reported.
I was not expecting this behavior during non-sun times.

There are other hardware classes in Domoticz that check against sunset/rise, I think we have to ignore these errors during sunset as well here

... Scrap this... I see that we already do not poll the Enphase outside sun hours

So I would expect this error roughly an hour before/after sun times, but not like during the whole night

I changed the check to only display this message if it has not received a valid reading in 24 hours now

Version 16777 should solve the issue, but I still would like to know if you see this error during the whole night or not

Hi Gizmocuz,
Many thanks for your support. I will check the behavior in 16777 and report back.

I have tested with 16777 and I didn't get a single error anymore overnight.
And indeed I believe you were right that it was not giving errors before during the whole night but only around sunrise/sunset as you indicated.
So this beta version fixed the issue.
Many thanks for your support.
