Hi Ya'll,
Recently I have added an new camera to my domoticz setup and I wanted to hook it to a device like my other 2 camera's. But I can't find the way to do this anymore?
I thought you did this at the camera setup page, but if I go there I can click any camera but I can't select a device at the buttom? The dropdown stays empty... Also my currently connected devices won't show there when I edit a camera.
Anyone have a solution here? Or do I need to report it on Github?
I am running the latest Beta release btw.
Regards,
Peter

Re: How to connect a camera to a button
I know about that, and if do that I can't select any device. No devices are shown. I don't care about streams or other detections. I just want de be able to see my cam the same way as my other cam's?

Re: How to connect a camera to a button
I understand now. I have the same issue in latest beta but also already in an older beta
Version: 2024.7 (build 16450)
Build Hash: 38a2c6eae
Compile Date: 2025-01-05 15:14:56
So it is already a problem for some time.

Re: How to connect a camera to a button
It seems this is caused by internal API changes, and this setup page was not handled.
Let me see what I can do about this!

Re: How to connect a camera to a button
Now that was an easy fix!
Should work again in beta 16587
The moment you went into this camera setup page there was a log message indicating a wrong API call was made.
(It was not, but there were two typos in the code)

Re: How to connect a camera to a button
Yes, amazing, thanks! I did manage to fix it in the DB last night but this is much easier! @Gizmocuz, could you also add a None option that sets a 0 in the DB to On/Off selector?? Since previously I could do this but now I don't have the ability to just add a camera button to a device without the need for actions!? I believe there is already a question on Github for this also (not mine though).

Re: How to connect a camera to a button
Alternatively there could be just a camera widget showing a thumbnail of the camera and when clicking on it showing the "stream" (one screenshot per second...)xvisor wrote: ↑Wednesday 26 March 2025 10:01 @Gizmocuz, could you also add a None option that sets a 0 in the DB to On/Off selector?? You can also create a dummy switch that has no other function than attach it to the camera. If you create a contact type dummy switch you cannot switch it from the UI so no accidental switch events.
