Re: Netatmo authentication changes Oct 2022

Hello,

For now a week, the Netatmo domoticz process reads correctly all of the data for the Meteo Station (temp, humidity, co2, rain, Wind,...) and the thermostats data but after few hours it stops reading only my Thermostats data.
If I regenerate the password of the Netatmo device on the hardware page as specified in https://wiki.domoticz.com/Netatmo, the thermostats data are read again for few hours. It can be 6 or 8 or 12 hours.
The meteo data continue to be updated.
That means the connection to the Netatmo server is still live.

Is anybody experiencing this behavior?
Does somebody has an idea why the thermostats data stop to be updated while the meteo data continue to be updated?

Thanks
Regards

Hi,
I'm having exactly the same problem as you with my Netatmo thermostat.
My Domoticz v2024.7 (stable channel / Build Hash: b317cfab1 / Compile Date: 2024-07-13 16:59:31) runs on a Linux Lubuntu 20.04.
Connection to the server works for a few hours then error messages:
Thermostat Netatmo: No access granted, forcing login again...
Thermostat Netatmo: No access granted, check credentials...

Franck

There where changes from Netamo API, they are adapted in the Beta channel not yet in the Latest Stable.

Hello,
Same things than "zxdscp". After 24h, it is still returning all of the data using the latest beta version with the new Netatmo login.
Thanks to all!

Under 16325 build, I have tried the following
- Enter <ClientID> in the clientID field and <Client Secret> in the client secret field.
- a popup appears to confirm access to the appropriate scope.
- the login seems successfull but when I click on « add » a popup tells me that I am not logged on.
What type hardware must be? If I chose "Netatmo" I don't see field clientID and client secret only Username: and Password:

@wpsabek, I am using beta version Domoticz 2024.7 (build 16406)
There is the following change that has been implemented:
- Changed: Improved and automated login process for Netatmo devices (to obtain client ID and Password with user selectable scopes)
Adding Netatmo hardware you should get fields "Client ID" and "Client Secret".
In the "Scope" field you select the information you want to get from Netatmo.

For Netatmo you use the correct Hardware.
Your Version 2024.7 is the Last Stable and still use the old Netatmo API code, the changed code is now in the Beta-channel
With that version you have to use the Old way https://wiki.domoticz.com/index.php?tit ... ldid=18755

Hi,
I do not understand why it's not already in the stable version. The current stable behavior is definitely a blocker issue.
Do you know when the fix will be published in the stable version ?
Thanks.

Hi,
I am interesting by the answer to the question from @jpaul.

I'm using 2024.7 version latest stable.
after a reboot, netatmo no longer logins. I need to follow the process again. That's crazy. really.

I implemented a on/off button -> zigbee -> domoicz to swith on / off a netatmo lightflood.
My script manages the access_token and the refresh_token , it works like a charm even after a reboot.
(interesting have a look here : https://github.com/Phil353556/netatmo-manage-tokens and https://github.com/Phil353556/netatmo-floodlight)
Why this is not implemented in the stable version?
Thanks to the team who make domoticz happens!
Phil
Production platform uses domoticz v2023.1
Production platform (for Netatmo and Zigbee) uses domoticz v2024.7

With the latest Beta The Floodlight selector switch is working,
Not only the authorization login did change but also Netatmo's API changed, so this took some time to fully implement this in the Beta.
It is now also possible to have Multiple Homes in 1 account.
For the Stable Version I suspect it will be coming soon.

Has Netatmo stopped working for anyone else (using stable 2024.7)?
All I get now in the error log is "Error: Netatmo: Invalid/no data received..."?

All I get now in the error log is "Error: Netatmo: Invalid/no data received..."?
same here:
since this morning my netatmo weatherstation measurements are not updated anymore in Domoticz (2024.7 version).
- In the Netatmo app, the measurements are fine
- The log says every 30 seconds: "Error: Netatmo: Invalid/no data received"
- I did the post 2024.1 re-authentication, but that didn't solve the problem.
someone any clue?

Same issue with my Domoticz 2024.7 (build 16406)

Error: Netatmo: Invalid/no data received...

I also have the stable version from July 2024.
The thing is, I would also like to try the new authentication mode provided by the latest Domoticz beta, but I’d like to know—from those already using the beta—if the issue is resolved with the new beta plugin or if the lack of data reception from Netatmo is still present even in the beta version, meaning it’s a general problem with Netatmo itself.
Can anyone answer me?

Tank you

On the Netatmo Status page is says this:

"3rd parties - sync api
maintenance
Mar 12, 2025, 8:30 AM - Mar 12, 2025, 1:30 PM GMT | Duration: 5 hours
Impacted Business Services
3rd party APIs
scheduled
We will migrate all the sync api routes for the 3rd parties to a new component which will help us to enforce the declared quotas.
This will impact only the 3rd parties API declared via dev.netatmo.com. Netatmo/Legrand applications and voice assistants are not impacted by the change."

However, this was dated yesterday so not sure if the issue is temporary or not!?
