[solved] how to remove data from hardware z2m controller in DZ

Post by BartSr »

Hi!
My zwave network was very messy. So I decided to completely start over.
Removed all devices from dz
Removed z2m AD from dz

Via zwavejs-ui removed all nodes and paired them again
I expected all old data should be removed (not true)

Once I accepted new devices by dz settings they popped up but.... all old names / node data. It appeared this came from the button in hardware on the z2m AD hardware.

I can't get rid off that data as shown down below. Any suggestion?

In Domoticz, select the MQTT hardware, and press the Delete button to delete it (and all devices)
Next press the ADD button to add it again

If you talk about old config objects from zigbee2mqtt/zwavejs, these have to be removed by hand if that is not done by the software itself.
You can use MQTT Explorer for this, next delete/add the hardware again in Domoticz

It seems to be an issue of retained mqtt auto discover config topics. See the wiki how to delete those retained topics https://wiki.domoticz.com/MQTT#Delete_retained_topic
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar

thanks! It was indeed a 'retain' problem.
All seems OK now.
