Hi,
Firstly, just upgraded to: 2024.7 and saw the Energy Dash. Brilliant! I'd coded my own support for different rates, solar in, out, etc. but this is fab!
I tried to set it up. I selected my solar from the drop down, but it does not let me set my electricity consumption as the P1/Grid.
This is my virtual sensor. I get the data from a CurrentCost meter over serial and update the sensor
My solar sensor is built in the same way, yet I was able to select that as the 'Solar' input.
So, not sure why this is so on the p1/grid selection. Can anyone enlighten me. I would love to give the new dash a go. All my 'electricity' sensors are virtual and updated with values via the API as domotics does not support them directly. I get the values via another script and just update the sensor.
Thanks!

Re: Energy dashboard - cannot add energy meter
This is because this device only shows current Power (Watt). You should use Electricity (instant and counter) device which can show Energy and Power (and costs based on Energy).
It also has way better reporting for multiple years. The Electric Usage device has no reporting. See also https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Dummy_for ... lectricity

What is the difference in device 5 (electricity consumption) and 103 (Energy Used)? Can you not use the Energy used device?pjsgsy wrote: ↑Tuesday 30 July 2024 15:08 Hi,

Or combine The Energy LowTariff and NormalTariff devices in a new device?
