Switch not showing in "All"
Domoticz version 2023.2
Debian Bullseye
RPi4
One of my switches is not visible in "all" if I select the relevant room for this switch it is displayed and functions normally.
This issue is not related to one device, I get the same issue on my phone and my mac. I also use the Pilot app on my phone and have the same issue on there too. I've cleared browser cache although I doubt this is the problem as it appears across all devices. Logged in as an admin.
The switch is also in "Favourites" but is not visible there either. Does anyone have any idea what I may have done

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
Check the assigned devices list for the user you use. Menu setup - users
If you are an admin this list should be empty. Then all devices will be visible.

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
Thanks for the reply, I'm signed in as the only admin user, there are no devices in the list on the right but he device is in the left hand list.
I was rearranging devices in the room plan a couple of days ago so don't know if I accidentally did something during that but the device shows up in its assigned room, just not visible in all devices. There may be other devices missing, there's over 90 switches in total, only noticed this one had gone when i went to turn it on! Tried signing in as a user with access to all devices and get the same issue.

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
The only possible thing I can imagine is that it is in the $Hidden room. Or the name starts with a $ character as that also will hide the device from the UI but it is still active.

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
I thought that too because I was retiring some old 433mhz switches and putting them in hidden while adding new zigbee replacements and putting them in their respective rooms. The missing switch is one of the new zigbee units. If we can’t figure it out I’ll have to delete the device and add it again. Just can’t understand what has happened though

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
This is a random, unpredictable process.
Yesterday I added three KaKu switches through the "Learn Light/Switch" button.
All three were recognised.
Only the first immediately showed up in the switches page.
The other two had to be added through the User / Set devices function.
(After much head scratching)
Wishlist: make this a predictable process, with consistent behaviour.

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
The predictable proces is to clear the assigned devices list for an admin user in menu Setup - Users as indicated in the wiki.
Then all devices (including the newly added) will be visible in the tabs for that admin user
Only assign devices to a specific user (also when device sharing is used) when it is really needed, never use an admin for this.
To check who is logged in use menu Setup - About

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
And why are all my devices rearranged in all tabs after adding a new switch?
Now I have to put all devices back in the order in which I had them (for instance temperature sensors from ground floor to ceiling).

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
You can indeed no remove it but it is also not necessary. You only remove all devices already assigned to clear the list.
When you have at least one device added to the assigned devices list for a user then the user can only see that device. Every new device has to be added for that user. That is why it is not a good idea to assign devices for an admin because every new device also has to be added to the assigned devices list. So better leave that list empty.

Re: Switch not showing in "All"
I really consider it an annoying bug that adding a device completely rearranges the order of one's devices.
A fix would be greatly appreciated.
Edited to add: adding a switch not just messes up the order of my switches, it also messes up Weather, Temperature and Utility.
So quadruple annoying.
