Two times the same idx

Post by DomoticaRob »

I have made a new Domoticz installation and now I see in my devices settings that there are two lines with the same idx.
One is a dummy switch and the otherone is a group.

Ofcourse I can delete one and make him again, and probably that is the solution.

But maybe this is a bug?

I don't know.

At one moment I had no Domoticz anymore and because I didn't had a proper backup I finally decided to do a total new installation.
Also because I had error messages when I wanted to update/upgrade the RasperryPi firmware.

I think the whole software was to much outdated.

So my choice was: put time in repairing or a new installation.
Finally I choose the new installation and at this moment the most important devices are up and running again.

Groups and Scenes are not Devices, so a device and a group can have identical indices, it should not matter. (they get accessed through different APIs)
