Tradfri Shortcut buttons stopped working all at once

Post by Cyroq »

Hi there,

At some point, my three Tradfri Shortcut Buttons are not responding to Domoticz anymore. Some details:
- I did not update any system or plugin recently.
- Log files don't show any activity of the buttons.
- I use zigbee2mqtt to pair them. The 'last seen' information is strange. I've been fiddling with one of the buttons and in the upper table the 'last seen' status is quite recent, like minutes ago. However, the devices (lower table; battery, signal quality and action) have an older time stamp around the time they stopped working. So apparently Domoticz and the button are talking at some point. The network map also shows a time stamp of a minute ago.
- I've tried re-pairing them. Domoticz finds the device correct ('announced') and shows its friendly name that I set before, but that's it.
- I replaced the battery.
- Other Zigbee-devices like lights are working as expected.

Does this problem sound familiar to anyone? What else can I try?

There are firmware updates for these that cure the short battery life issue. But they haven't been a dependable product for me despite this, they fall off the mesh easily. I prefer the Aqara H1 remote switches (WXKG15LM et al).
