Worked

Renaming and redoing all the automations :( I'll do that another day it's to late now to to start with.
Adding them to the rooms etc to get GA to work again.
Thanks for the help :)

I know it's error 40 but this change has messed up my system
A bit off topic. I have a backup of the db, should I restore a backup few days ago and do the setup again?

Edit: I did go for that and now it's running better.

Ha nice.

Code: Select all

NOTE: To see the devices of the disabled OpenZwave hardware gateway during replacement action go to menu Setup - Settings and disable setting "Hide disabled hardware devices". Enable it again when you are done.

I really thought I learned this trick from you ;-)
Well at least we can help out the Domoticz fans that still need to migrate.

Ever made it installing ZWave-JS UI on Windows? I'm trying to do and already installed Mosquitto, but now I'm stuck on installing the ZWave-JS UI.

I haven't yet but the path I was going to try was to install Docker on windows and then ZWave-JS-UI using docker. I have no idea if that is the best path or not.

There is a Zwave-JS-UI windows executable in xxx -win.zip you can download in every release of Zwave-JS-UI on their github.

Why such a pain in the ass migration to something that is not working. OpenZwave was integrated and worked on all devices.
Now i had to install an MQTT with an third party software and tutorial
Than another third party ZwaveJsUI with a huge wiki page made for homeassistant not domoticz
And as result a not working Zwave network in domoticz. I see most of the devices in ZwaveJSUI but none of them in Domoticz.

My solution: revert back to the latest stable version.
Disable MQTT
Enable OpenZwave
Keep it working like that and search for a more userfriendly non fucked up home automation.

Come on guys, You are killing Domoticz this way..

i only had a couple of zwave devices so i moved to the new standard, zigbee(and hue)

working perfectly(as it did with zwave)

please note that the domoticz team can not support technology what is not maintained anymore by other people
at least that is what i was told.

If you have the stuff in ZwaveJS-UI and enabled MQTT autodiscovery in your Domoticz you should end up with Domoticz filled with your ZWAVE devices. It has been shown in this thread multiple times including a step through.

I followed these steps: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Zwave-JS-UI

And yes I had my fair share of issues but those were stick-related.

May have stayed as-is for legacy stuff with a warning at enable for new users... So you may have avoided throwing your couple of zwave devices, something you cannot do when you have 10's.

+ migration is not automated & needs both supports. So those who will get caught at next stable (without any install warning+stable upgrade script not doing any saving, only beta script does) because not following the forum will be very angry for sure!

This is really managed the worst possible way IMO.

Talked to them and looks like the Razberry isn't supported installed using snap, to install Docker I need to upgrade OS.

Option is to reinstalling everything, I have another Rpi3 that I could do a fresh installation on.
But looks Like I'm going to keep to the stable release for some time until I get the energy to set it all up again.
There's no problem whatsoever running it with snap on a Pi.

Other than repetitive issues with some unavailable devices.

According the ZWave-JS-UI devs the issue is that I'm using a zwave HAT and not a USB device.
I managed to install docker and got it to work.

Hello, I'm not good at English.
I used Google to translate these conversations.
I can't switch from Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI.
I read everything but understood almost nothing.
I'm just a user without much background on the subject.
Is there an automatic switch to ZWave-JS-UI?
Docker...I'm scared. Another additional program!
Is there another good program? (Just like Domoticz used to do!)
Easy to handle....

Hello,

Context:
Version: 2023.2
Build Hash: 19efd039c
Compile Date: 2023-07-21 17:23:44
dzVents Version: 3.1.8
Python Version: 3.9.2 (default, Mar 12 2021, 04:06:34) [GCC 10.2.1 20210110]

Issue:
I switched from ozw to zwave-JS UI successfully using the docker method and replaced my old zwave device by zwave mqtt devices to keep history:

The access to zwave-JS UI is done locally via http://192.168.0.XX:8091 where 192.168.0.XX is domoticz IP server.
How is it possible to access to zwave-JS UI remotely via https ?

I have redirected the 8091 port to the domoticz IP server on my router but it is not working.

Many thanks for your reply.

Hello,

Yes I enabled the HTTPS feature in Zwave JS-UI.

Still I cannot access to the UI via https://192.168.0.XX:8091 and get the NET::ERR_CERT_INVALID error.

I discovered that It created two files cert.pem and key.pem in /home/pi/docker/zwjs/store.

How is it possible to use the domoticz certificate to gain access to Zwave-JS UI via https ?

Many thanks for your help
