A lot of Error: MQTTAuto: unknown idx received! (idx 2661)

For devices supporting the Auto Discovery feature. Like ZWaveJS2MQTT, Zigbee2MQTT.

Assume you are pointing to an existing MQTT server that is receiving live data for existing devices in another domoticz setup which also is using domoticz/in topic to listen too? (Sam answer as i just typed in PM ;) )

I'm connecting to my mqtt (mosquitto) broker server on port 1883.
i guesss i have to say yes i'll do, since there are 2 other domoticz devices connected to this broker..

understood, but is this a new one mosquitto server or one used by another domoticz instance already?

So, how do you seperate the messages for the different Domoticz systems as they all listen to DOMOTICZ/IN by default

its just a new, fresh install of domoticz wich i want to "remote" mqtt my devices that already adopted in the mqtt/conbee on my broker
(my other 2 domoticz raspberry's are working to as well on this mqtt broker)

Understood... but think about this for a little! :)
Your MQTT broker is nothing more or less than a store and forward of messages, so when all your 3 domoticz servers "listen" to the same "domoticz/in" topic, they will all try to process any message dumped in that topic! So you new system will try to process all messages that are directed to your current setup and thus generate a shitload of unknows as none of the devices is known.... right?

That could be done, but that would mean the have to have the exact same devices list! ;)

i think this will be the thing, yes?
but the weird thing is, when using the mqqt-AD plugin, nothing come in, no log, no devices.
i tried homeassistant / domoticz / and some other, nothing.
when using the mqtt-gateway plugin, i'm getting those errors about the unknown devices.
On my other (older) domoticz it worked directly?

For any devices used by MQTT-AD, there won't be an issue as the AD part will generate the devices and then point that to the appropriate MQTT topic for the status updates. So this issue is for any device you have out there that does updates via MQTT to topic domoticz/in.

So that probably is the safe way of doing this when starting form scratch, as those other devices have hardcoded IDX devices.
In case you really want to start with the existing set of devices, you "simply" import the existing database from the old system.... but that means you get it all!!!! Current Hardware/Devices/History ...etc etc

Hmm.. that database is only 158mb of devices and stuff, is it not possible to only get idx devices?

i was hoping that after adding the plugin my devices where come in, but it didnt :( grr...
none on topic homeassistant, none (only errors) on topic domoticz, etc..
then why is this plugin exactly made for?

So using the standard functionality the answer is no, but the db is sqlite so anything is possible when you put your mind to it, ..... but you should ask yourself whether you want to go down that road full of potholes? ;)

As stated, anything that is using the buildin MQTT-Auto discovery will be properly generated and data will flow! This is about any updates via DOMOTICZ/IN.
Not sure how the (MQTT?) plugin works, so can't speak to that.

So when using homeassistant, everything works correctly like it should but in Domoticz its not possible?

I just want to add the devices that are in topic homeassistant on my broker (like most do), so this is not possible?
In My ha setup everything is coming in, exactly what i want but i need them in Domoticz, not in ha?

I've tried to explain why you get these LOG messages assuming the do come from the domoticz/in topic.
There is no relation to AutoDiscovery for devices, which also should work fine in Domoticz when configured correctly.
