What Domoticz Beta version is the last with OpenZwave?
Just one question regarding the removal of OpenZwave from Domoticz.
Which beta version is the last one which supports OpenZwave?
At this moment I run beta V15437, to what beta version can I upgrade for the last time.
Or is there a latest new final version with OpenZwave?, not real clear for me at this time.
Can I update a Beta with a final version without running into trouble?
I take a look at Github but can not figure out what the last "OpenZwave Beta Domoticz", if there is any?
Forgive me my possibly stupid question

You cannot upgrade to latest beta anymore. Move to 2023.2 stable (build 15453) and you will be fine.

Re: What Domoticz Beta version is the last with OpenZwave?
This was still possible yesterday (upload page was showing build 15462 for ARM), but no more now: Easy to check, archive root does not show OZW "Config" directory anymore...
https://www.domoticz.com/downloads/
Even windows build 15472 with 2023.2 ssl build fix that was on beta side is now gone, so IMO windows users still OZW are even locked to 2023.1 stable!

For sure 15459, as I currently use it with OZW. Most probably 15462 that was still downloadable yesterday (I did so without installing & OZW Config directory still in archive): I'll probably change for this one in the next few days (IMO last upgrade for a long time!) as this one was solving an IPV6 issue showing up on hosts with multiple network interfaces in this mode.

Re: What Domoticz Beta version is the last with OpenZwave?
I can confirm the latest stable 2023.2 (15457) has OZW for the Windows build. I also have the 15459 beta which should be close to right around the end of the beta builds before OZW was removed.
As there still is no upgrade path posted anywhere where someone successfully upgraded to zwave-js-ui on Windows builds this might have to be my last version as well as I am not going to abandon all of my z-wave devices.
It would have been best practices to leave OZW in Domoticz for legacy purposes.

There is a zwave-js-ui windows.exe that you can download from their github. Did you try that already?

For running it as a windows service you could check here: https://github.com/zwave-js/zwave-js-ui ... sions/3017

Hi @waltervl thanks for the reply. I have not tried that yet. Would I also need mosquitto?
I love to help and test but since I have z-wave devices for security this is one area where I can't be down without it. No one as of yet on the forums or the wiki shows someone migrating running Domoticz on Windows.

Thanks, would you happen to know if it matters if Domoticz uses 32-bit or 64-bit mosquitto? Asking because I know with python it's 32-bit only.

I have no idea, but I guess it does not matter as it is not directly connected to domoticz.

To answer question:
On arm 15462, can confirm was the last build with OZW. Just updated from archives downloaded this WE & my zwave is up & running.
On x86 15467 (mistake in previous post) was most probably last one (with ssl fix) but I don't use it myself to be 100% sure.

Re: What Domoticz Beta version is the last with OpenZwave?
This brings me to a new (small) challenge for me.
Updating to "latest" is simple(3 key strokes) with the Synology Docker GUI, but does anyone know how to go to a specific Tag (15459).
If I now update, it takes automatically "latest", but I want 15459.
Looks like the Synology Docker GUI does not allow change of tags, I also have Portainer, can you select a different tag there for update, I cant find it?
It looks like I have to remove the whole container and make a new one with the correct tag and than restore the settingsbackup.
Anyone has a simpler solution, or am I just to lazy....

Re: What Domoticz Beta version is the last with OpenZwave?
I think you better update to stable.. docker pull domoticz/domoticz:stable
Using the latest tag is a very bad idea unless you want to be on the latest beta (with all it risks it fails...)
Else check the Domoticz Docker wiki where it all is explained. https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Docker

Re: What Domoticz Beta version is the last with OpenZwave?
I am running an installation with OZW:
Version: 2023…2
Build Hash: 19efd039c
and it works great.
I also have a similar setup but where I needed to reinstall Domoticz. It is now running the same version:
Version: 2023…2
Build Hash: 19efd039c
but when I add the OpenZWave hardware I get a red "Setup" button instead of the blue/greenish next to it and in the logs I get these entries:
2023-11-08 21:52:36…440 Status: RaZberry: ZWave: This hardware type is Deprecated! Please move to MQTT Auto Discovery and ZWave JS UI
2023-11-08 21:52:36…941 Status: RaZberry: using config in: /home/pi/domoticz/Config/
2023-11-08 21:52:37…280 Status: RaZberry: Starting...
2023-11-08 21:52:37…280 Status: RaZberry: Version: 1…6-1911-gc6a420ef
(its the exact same version 1…6-1911-gc6a420ef on the working installation).
It feels like the log is saying that it won't work, but shouldn't it work? If I went for the beta version 2023…2 then I wouldn't expect it to work, but this is the stable version. Is it maybe some other library or OS related that needs an upgrade (or downgrade)?

Re: What Domoticz Beta version is the last with OpenZwave?
There were some issues with compiling 2023.2 stable that by accident had no OZW libraries compiled.
What hardware are you running? Stable 2023.2 stable should contain OpenZwave.

Should be the correct version. The logging is saying that it works but be aware it will not work in the next version.
Perhaps something wrong with the RazBerry configuration in your new setup?
