EDIT: Changing the password didn't help... Plugin can still not login. Very frustrating
Hi,
Just for your information, a "special" character is needed in the password. I my case :
- @ didn't work
- but ! is ok.

Hi all,

It seems like there are two issues described in this thread:
1. Some authentication issues and limits to what characters can be in the password
2. Homecoach data is fetched only once.

I also have the second issue, that the Homecoach values were fetched only once. Just as others describe, on startup, a reading is done. And then it stops. Until you disable and enable the device. Then one reading is done again.

I've done some digging and maybe found the bug. I've made a issue on github with my findings and a potential fix. I cannot post links but if you go to github dot com to the Domoticz repository, it is issue number 5508.

Just a remark: Issue 5508 about nr 2 has been solved in latest beta.

My hero :)
I had a '#' and that didn't work. Changed password with a '!' and it works :D

Hi all,

I changed the password and there are no logon errors in the Netatmo log but my CO2 is still "0" on all 3 devices. I'm on 2022.2 beta 14956 on a Raspi with buster.
It all worked on 2022.1 stable, problems started with 2022.2 stable and latest beta doesn't fix it.

Updated to the latest beta and still no CO2 measurements. Other values are ok, no logon failures. It looks like CO2 isn't picked up anymore by domoticz??

Hi all,

Away mode of the Netatmo thermostat isn't picked up anymore in version 2022/2. Weather stations are OK. TRV's also.

After the 2023 update i cannot login to netatmo weatherstation any more If I try i get an email from netatmo that a domoticz api tried to login and my netatmo password is blocked for 10 minutes After a few retries I have to reset my password I noticed that the Netatmo autentication procedure was changed, but how can I implement this in my domotics application running on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ which is fully updated

For me the solution was indeed to use only the "!" as special caracter in the password. It works but i hope that the policy that Netatmo is going to implement on 17/04/2023 has no influence again:

Good morning ,
This day I can no longer connect the Netatmo plugins, since yesterday (08 March)
Do you have the same problem, and do you have a solution, I changed the password on the site, with a + in it, but nothing changed.

THANKS

Maybe try not using special characters? Only text and numbers?

Impossible,
On the site ( https://my.netatmo.com/app/energy ) it requires a special character

I'm on V 2022.2
The V 2023 it's ok for netatmo ?

Can anyone tell me how i can connect to netatmo again. Even a update to 2023.1 didn't help.
Tried by changing password but still no connection.

Did you use a password without "@" or "#"? Reports are "!" as special character works.

As can be seen in :viewtopic.php?t=40092 this is a sudden change that was triggered by a restart of the sensor a week ago and multiple people are having these issues, in my case strange characters in the password are not involved... seems like something changed at NetAtmo authentication side the last few weeks....

I am facing the same issue using Domoticz V2023.1

Stopping and restarting the Netatmo plugin did not help while it worked 2 weeks ago.
Changing the password did not help.
However when I changed the password on Netatmo site, it removed the Third Party API Apps.
Next I removed the Domoticz Netatmo plugin and added it again to recreate the Third Party API App authorization on Netatmo site but unfortunately it did not occur.
It seems Netamo has implemented the new security process to access the data using their API.

Does somebody know if the Domoticz Netatmo plugin will be updated?

Thanks

Hello
authentification process changed (oauth2), so the authentication process have to be changed in the code.
this have to be placed on the devs roadmap.

Yes, but the dev that created and maintained the integration is not able to maintain it anymore so some other dev with a Netatmo device will have to step up. Feel free to step up!
