Could you check this site: https://dontkillmyapp.com/ and see if these tips help?

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
Hi,
I hope someone here can help. I was using Domofence for a while and it was working well. But recently it is not the case. The Entered/ Exit times shown on my phone are more or less correct, but the virtual switch doesn't reflect the changes. I double checked the setting and the switch id - all looks fine and I haven't changed since the time it was working well. Test connection is successful.
Recent changes include - the regular Android updates on my phone (Samsung S8) and some plugins which I tested in Domoticz.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot are welcome!

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
You could see what happens if you use the url in a browser from you phone.

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
Actually, if I try the URL in a browser - it shows "Domotics Offline" page without giving me the chance to enter user name/pass. The workaround I found for accessing Domotics when I am out of home is to access it from a private window of the browser. Do you think this is related?

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
I have similar problems, test works fine, and notifications on the phone are correct, but the switch in domoticz doesn't change all the time (with test it does change all the time)
Could it be a power saving option in android that prevents domofence from sending the command to domoticz?
Background data is enabled.

Hi all,
I have exactly the same problem: test works fine, and notifications on the phone are correct, but the switch in domoticz doesn't change all the time (with test it does change all the time)
In log of domoticz, I see the incoming connection, but not the change of the switch...
Do you have the solution or not?
Thank's a lot

Can you test (the test button should switch to 'off') when outside of the geofence?CYBEL wrote: ↑Tuesday 10 September 2019 9:02 I have exactly the same problem: test works fine, and notifications on the phone are correct, but the switch in domoticz doesn't change all the time (with test it does change all the time)

Hello Appesteijn,
I am trying to use your app for HomeAssistant without any success, I would like to try and modify your app to suit HA, would you mind posting your code to Github, if not can you send me a copy please?
Anil

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
Hi,
With the removal of "basic-auth" in the near future, is there going to be an update for this app?
It unfortunately doesn't work with the login page.
But I like this app very much and other than that it works perfectly for me

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
I have installed the app as per the Wiki instructions. Domoticz was no problem, so was installing on my Xiaomi phone, and on my wife's Samsung.
When I press the test button on the Android app, I can see the Domoticz switch reacting. So the connection works OK.
But when I leave home and go outside the Geofence parameter, nothing happens.
What could be wrong?

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
that's exactly what happened to me today after installation.
the manual switch work on my domoticz. but not when a leave or enter the geofence.
the geofence button on the bottom is also not very clear to me.
if i hit the button then the line disappears from the icon but the text "all geofences are removed" pops up. and when i hit the button again a diagonal line is across then geofence icon and the text "the geofence was added" pops up.
When is the geofence active ? with or without the line.
(Also my cursor is always blinking at the end of the server address).
regards

Looks like this app does not do what it promises to do. I will be removing it.

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
does anyone use this app?
if I'm on the internal network, the application works, if I use the mobile's cellular data, it doesn't work
or an equivalent of this application?
thank you

I’m using “LOCATIVE” on a iPhone 13, this works flawlessly for a few years now.
It sends a http command to Domoticz and flips a dummy switch.

Re: Geofence for Domoticz
So,
if my phone is in the same network, using my wi-fi the app is working, and the test from the app it's ok.
if i'm using 4G from my phone, i receive error on test the app.
