devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
Hello. I just updated the Domoticz server to 2023-1, as I was going through the tabs, the dashboard remained the same but when going to the switches tab, they all disappeared. I searched a bit, cleared the cache and they appeared again. The problem is now that when I go to the Devices page, no devices are shown. If I keep refreshing them, some appear one by one but not all. How can I make it so that the devices appear again ? I tried changing the browser, clearing the cache, and opening it up in incognito but nothing worked at all. Thank you very much for the help.

In my experience, when devices are "gone", sometimes a reboot helps, maybe two .... or otherwise reload your database backup that you made before the update.

Start with a "simple" browser cache clear as stated one should do with each software upgrade.

Try it with a browser in private mode.
If you miss tabs then check the active menus setting in menu setup - users.
If you do not see an active user listed in setup- about then you have a browser cache issue.

Devices disappeared here too.
Clearing browser cache, no effect.
Blank domoticz screen, not even any possibility to add or set up anything
Complete removal and reinstallation, only effect Domoticz now is asking for a username and password, which was not asked before.

I did have the same issue, but it didnt ask for username and password, but I had to give my user, which is admin, access to all features and devices in the user menu to resolve the problem.

Same issue here, I only see 3 switches in stead of the normally 20 I have. Cleared browser cache, edited the admin account and gave access to all devices. Doesnt seem to help. Running beta 15087. Any ideas?

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
OK, I nailed it down to: if I create a user with admin rights, I can only see three switches. It doesn't matter if I select any devices in the "set devices" option. If I create a user with "User" rights and exclude one typical switch (a Tuya thermostat switch) then I can see all the switches. Any thoughts?

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
Are you using a username/password to login, or is your IP in the trusted networks?
If you are not using a username and password, and you have multiple admin level accounts, which on will Domoticz use?
I would say, only have 1 admin account, no device restrictions
and user/viewer accounts

Got the same issue here. It does work when using Chrome, but not in Firefox. Using latest versions of both browsers, clearing browser cache in Firefox does not help, neither is disabling all add-ons.
Edit: Never mind, was a cache issue after all. Cleared all browser data instead of just Domoticz data and its working in Firefox too now.

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
It is better to remove all grants to devices for an admin!! Otherwise you have issues when adding new devices, you will have to add them manually again to the user device grants to see them ...pken2017 wrote: ↑Saturday 15 July 2023 1:23 I had to grant my user, which is admin, access to all devices in the user menu to resolve the problem.

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
Late to the party, but I accidentally (fat finger combined with no confirmation dialog or visible Cancellation option) updated Domoticz yesterday to 2023.2 (it was stable and I wasn't going to update it - if it aint'broke and all that...).
Now, ny Dashboard does show, but all other tabs (Devices, Scenes, Weather, Temperature, etc) are all empty...
I've cleared my cache in Chrome several times, still no user is showing up in the About screen, no devices anywhere except in the Dashboard. Tried changing the 'Set Devices' for the (admin) uset, but all to no avail and no ckue how to solve (except trying to reset again). Wouldnt mind all that much (although inconvenient) except that my ZWave devices *do* sem to work but my 433 devices *do not*.
Now it gets strange... Even though all site settings are cleared, when I look at Domoticz in an incognito window, all is okay and is shown again, albeit with another theme... Okay, so perhaps the theme is the issue...? But aparently changing the theme is not possible anymore?!? In both windows, changing the theme in the settings has no impact after clicking Apply Settings... Even after logging out and back in... FWIW, I was using dark-th3me...
I knew I should not have updated...
Any hints about getting my config back in shape are appreciated...

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
Perhaps you have to redo the update from the command line in a terminal. As it seems the webpart has not been copied/updated correctly.
Code: Select all
sudo ./updaterelease

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately it did not help...
Still weird that it works in an incognito window, but not in a normal window. And a change of theme is just not possible. I dont think any setting changes have any effect...

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
I will basically type again what I typed before for the other two users how have now their devices back
Go to Settings->Users
Make sure there is only one admin user, (by default the username is also admin), if you have multiple admin remove the others
Next for all users, click on 'Set devices', make sure the right column is empty, so no specific devices are selected
Now logout, or refresh the browser (F5), or restart Domoticz

Re: devices disappeared from page af†er 2023 .1 Update
My solution to the problem is:
- Create a new user and give all permissions, administration right and view everything.
- Make admin user inactive.
Now all devices are back. Don’t ask me why, but it works and I wanted to share this.
