LightwaveRf Smart 868mhz
Hi,
Is there any solution for the newer Lightwave products that use 868mhz? Can’t seem to find any mention on the forum.

Check the RFXCOM and/or RFLink sites for compatibility.

Well neither of those have Lightwave listed, hence I’m asking on the forum if anyone has any experience.
I see there is a HomeKit bridge, but it isn’t clear whether it is two way - you can add Domoticz devices into HomeKit, but not clear if you can load HomeKit devices into Domoticz.

I would love to have a solution for this. I have quite a few of the gen 1 switches and I have purchased just a couple of the gen 2. The gen 1's work well with the RFXtrx but are only one way. I have come up against a brick wall trying to get the 868 MHz switches to work with Domoticz. The gen 2's do play nicely with Apple HomeKit but this won't pass the switch state back to Domoticz.

Can you at least control them from Domoticz? If so, how?

Re: LightwaveRf Smart 868mhz
I have linked the gen 2 switch to IFTTT. I have set up a dummy switch in Domoticz and then added an 'on action' and an 'off action' script / URL to the dummy switch to trigger an applet in IFTTT to switch the actual LWRF2 switch on or off. It is only one way and IFTTT needs a subscription for multiple applets, which I don't have so I only have one switch working in this way. I can't see any way to get two way messaging working, neither HomeKit or IFTTT pass the information back to Domoticz. The scripts are all available on the LWRF site, but I have not been able to fathom how to link it to Domoticz. The OpenHAB users have managed to link LWRF2 to their systems.

Ah,
Well I have about 12 Lightwave devices, so that won’t work for me. I see that Home Assistant has a solution.

The home Assistant solution is:
https://www.home-assistant.io/integrat ... ontroller/
Nothing I have found is like this in Domoticz.

No experience with Homekit but you could give this a try: viewtopic.php?p=273889#p273889

Not sure how this helps as I'm trying to get existing HomeKit devices mapped to Domoticz.

You say the homeassistant solution is the homekit integration. At least that is where your link is referring to. As Domoticz also has a simple homekit plugin i link to that for you.

That only works for unsecured devices. The Homeassistant solution works for all. There is no analogue for Domoticz. Maybe someone who uses HomeKit could comment.
This is going to become a big issue as Matter becomes a widely used standard.

Then hopefully somebody will stand up and update that Homekit plugin or creates a Homekit or Matter integration or whatever. It is still unclear in what direction Matter is going. It seems Zigbee related so perhaps there will be a Matter2MQTT gateway (it was already announced as an April 1st joke....)
