Hello,
I would like to add my new camera in domoticz but I don't know the API to snapshot of the camera. For example : cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?chn=[1]&u=[xxxxx]&p=[xxxxxx]. I'm looking for this API, thanks in advance.

Yes, enter the url but leaving out the IP address and port. So only the last section of the url starting with onvifsnapshot.
User and Password in the appropriate fields.
Port perhaps you have to fill in 80

Re: IMOU IPC-F42-D Help Needed
Hello,
I ordered an IMOU (that's Dahua consumer grade brand) IP cam almost 2 years ago, fortunately through Amazon: Never managed to find a snapshot URL, even if there was an http server showing-up using nmap utility for the cam IP.
But this server was not providing any usual web configuration interface nor any usual Dahua API (including a snapshot url): This was likely just dedicated to another undocumented API linked to their cloud and/or mobile phone app.
Only a rtsp stream was provided.
As I'm no customer for dumbphone driven stuff (+maybe through a chinese cloud), I sent back the device within the 7 days trial delay & ordered a freely manageable device (from a standard browser+supports to be cut-off from the internet from router+setting a bad gateway IP on the cam) directly from aliexpress, as I did with previous cams.
I suppose it's the same for any IMOU devices.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply, I confirm that is difficult to implement this camera in Domoticz. I will order a freely manageable camera. What type of camera do you recommend?
Yann

Re: IMOU IPC-F42-D Help Needed
Last order from AE was done 2.5 years ago, so not sure exact same devices are still sold. But all Dahua IP cams I have behave correctly and last 2 ordered fully conforms to standards: No more need for plugins that may force to keep an old/unmaintained IE or Firefox to still be able to do full configuration (especially integrated motion zones, or more advanced features like face detection or zone/line crossing, called tripwire...).
They should all show HTTP(s) support (but unlike IMOU, hosting a true web interface not just an API access) and more: These last 2 models were showing support for SFTP and SSH (even if only a limited shell is available for SSH) on top of usual FTP/SMB for files transfers. IMO, when these features are present, that's quite recent firmware base.
After, that's a form factor/use-case choice. For instance devices branded as "starlight" behaves better at night (even more true for 2MPix devices, if some are still available, as resolution increase for a given sensor size usually means less sensitivity)... I have one device that is really good in night mode with a few custom tuning of image capture. Up to be able to turn off IR, so non flicker while raining not spiders/insects attracted by IR light causing lots of unwanted captures.
