TuYa TS0601_cover

Post by Dave21w »

Anyone using one of these :

https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/TS06 ... 0601_cover

Says its fully supported at the link above, I can control it from z2m using open, close and stop but moving the % slider does nothing and in domoticz it appears OK as a Blinds + Stop device but can't control it at all from the widget, shows closed all the time, if you press Open it instantly jumps back to Closed with no motor response at all.

Any ideas ?

If it works from Zigbee2MQTT it should work in Domoticz too.
You could check the MQTT messages if correct data is sent, see https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/MQTT#Debugging_MQTT

Are you using MQTT-AutoDiscover or the plugin? You could check the repository of the plugin for known issues.
If you are on Domoticz Beta then a lot of work has been done in blinds so behavior could have changed and the plugin not yet updated.

Hi waltervl thanks for your reply, I am using MQTT Auto discover and yes I am running the beta but currently on build 14528, I can’t risk upgrading right at this moment as I go on holiday for 9 days tomorrow and at present everything is working so don’t want to risk it breaking when I’m not here to fix it. I can connect remotely but some stuff just needs a personal touch to resolve any issues.
I was desperate to get my curtains automated before I went and this only arrived today, luckily I have a Wi-Fi motor the same so I’ve managed to flash tasmota on to it so I have them automated at least, as soon as I’m back I will do some more investigation, in the mean time - bring on the sun shine !

Thanks
Dave

You can make a full back up, then upgrade and if it does not work, restore the backup.
This will probably take about 10 minutes

Upgraded to current stable but still no change, between 14528 and the stable I tried a few other beta's and I also have other issues as well that I have posted about, namely the Aqara Driver E1 (for pole mounted curtains) also now has issues. Domoticz can open and close the curtains OK but the widget says closed all the time, it briefly jumps to open when a command is sent to open them but then goes back to closed in Domoticz, the UI in Z2M shows the correct status though.

As usual with User interface issues, be sure you have cleared your browser cache!!! Every blinds issue in Stable is solved this way so far.

Browser cache cleared on several different PC's with no change, also tried with several different browsers. I also have (as i think you have already posted on) an issue with Tuya TS0601_cover, this works in Z2M and appears in Domoticz but no control from Domoticz is possible. What is odd (and similar the the E1 issue) is if you remove the power to the TS0601 you can chnage the state from open to closed in domoticz but once it has power domoticz says closed all the time so it knows it is there but seems to think it is stuck in the closed position.

Do you see the revert position and state switches when editting a blinds device as shown in https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Blinds ?

Yes I do, reverse position merely moves the slider to the opposite end but the curtain state still says closed, changing the state position switch when the curtain is open but the widget still says its closed does indeed change it to saying open however when you then close the curtain the widget briefly changes to closed and jumps back to open again and continues to say open even when the curtian is closed.

I cannot tell if it is a zigbee2mqtt issue or a Domoticz issue... As blinds normally work with zigbee2mqtt the issue is specific to the implementation in Zigbee2mqtt? Are there issue reported in this device?

I'm not sure if there are any reported issues, I haven't found any so far but this problem only started sometime around build 14528 but each update after this has not reolved the issue.
