The subscription model in an application that depends on your own domoticz server to function, is complicated to understand. Obviously I respect it, but it is true that those of us who have paid for the application understand its dificult.
Maybe the problem was the lite application, many people had this because its functions its enought, and they did not need the payment. I do not know.... you have the data and I understand that you have made the best decision taking into account all the possibilities.
Good luck with this new model. Greetings

Have you seen the last update? There is more data now on those temp/weather rows right?
Thanks for pointing out
Yes, I have. It's better now. Although I do still miss "last updated" in the lower left corner, like on the other tabs.

It's okay to introduce a new App that introduces new features and it's okay to pay for this new APP.

But it does not seem correct towards those who, like me, bought the app, seeing it abandon, this is absolutely not correct !! I paid for that service, and in the course of work it is not correct to modify the contract.
In my opinion, the current paid version still needs to be developed.
Then the new APP will have a new type of contract / sale and if it is interesting it will sell itself

I too am a premium user, but I understand the developers thinking. Saying you bought a product and expecting lifetime updates and support because of a contract is not correct either. Have you ever bought a Windows 7 license? I can tell you you're not getting updates and support for that product anymore, despite you once buying it. It is what it is. I like free stuff too but sometimes, if you want a good product, you have to except end of life and pay for something new.

Hi @galadri I'm assuming when you said "The premium app stays to exist but doesn't get big new features/updates." , you meant that it would still get bugfixes. I think this is what the community is asking.

Also, have you thought about a donation option in the apps to help fund development?

I thought of that yes, and I like that you're using it for some projects, kudo's for that!

But my experience is that not that people are donating that often if they don't get anything new for it..

Given the answer, I think I made a mistake in buying the Premium APP, an App that has had many bugs anyway and a price that is not exactly cheap.
Incorrect behavior for me. Sorry to be so tough but that's my point

Hi - today I ws "suggested" to install the new app, I had the premium app, which I paid for only half a year ago! (7.49 €).
I tried "herstel mijn abonnement" (recover my subscription) but that doesn't seem to work.
How can I recover my paid information? - I don't want to pay twice...
thanks

Yes it does not seem correct, at least give a year for free for current premium users.
Or give us the option to deactive the annoying notification in the current premium app (which suggests you to switch to the subscription option).
A notification that your premium account is not valid upon switching app would also have be nice!

For me this disappointment is the end and I will integrate further into Home Assistent.
At least they are more clear about paying.

Why the "Events" menu has been removed from the main Menu and placed into the advanced settings?

I think that enable/disable some tasks should be a very frequently activity so could be usefull to have an easy access instead of into advanced sttings. Isn't true?

You can still use the Premium app with app the features, it has the latest version with the new Android 12/UI update.
So if that version is enough for you, there is no need to update.

That dialog should be only shown once after the update. There is no other notification as far as I know.. but there is a link under your settings, but its not a notification or anything. If you see that dialog more then just once, please let me know

Yesterday I received the update for the Premium version, which changed the layout on the dashboard from a single column to 2 columns of tiled elements. Also tile at position 1 tends to go empty upon refresh, moving all tiles +1 in position.

How to revert back to single column of tiles/elements in dashboard?

I second that (two columns, not being able to revert to 1 per line).
+ Sometimes the top row, containing sunup & sundown times, gets shown wrong, also in half a line (1column), mixing up the display.

(If it is relevant: I'm using the original premium app, since I've paid for it and I don't want to go to the second where I am forced to pay again).

A fix for the refresh issue / clock ui is submitted to Google, soon to be available to update

I rather like the overview you get on a mobile phone when you're on the same local network and point your browser to your Domoticz instance.
