Change IP address after router replacement

Post by Jan Jansen »

Soon I will change internet provider. When installing Domoticz (easy way), the IP address of the raspberrypi is fixed at 192.168.0.XX. Using a new router, the 0 in the IP address must be changed to a 2.

The 'easy' way has a reconfigure option. This option does not provide a solution.

At this point, I don't know what I'm doing. I don't want to destroy my set up either. Is there anyone who knows how to change the IP address?

Thanks in advance!

regards,
Jan

Did you set the fixed IP adress on the Raspberry Pi (not recommended) or on the router in DHCP settings?
If you set it on the Raspberry Pi you will have to reconfigure it (perhaps need to attach monitor and keyboard for access).
If you have set it on the router you will have to do it again on the new router you will get from your new internet supplier.
If possible you can perhaps also set the IP range from 192.168.2.* to 192.168.0.* This will depend on the router configuration.
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar
