Pushbullet from LUA?

Not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but here goes: I would like to issue pushbullet notifications from a LUA script.
So far I have set up the app and can do a notification from a device. The setup works OK.
Next step is to notify vrom a LUA script.
It "feels" like this should be a piece of cake, similar to sending an email. But I can't find how to do this.
Any hints? Example?

I've discovered that filling "commandArray['SendNotification'] " with text will cause a message to be sent out to pushbullet, but also by e-mail.
Is there a way to specify pushbullet, email, or both?
