i've bought several devices recently which claim to be ZIGBEE compatible but arent compatible with a generic zigbee gateway, is there anything i'm missing here?, what should I be logging for on the amazon / ebay product description as I thought the Zigbee logo and zigbee compatible would be enough but it isnt clearly, its infuriating, although I'm guessing this is not intentional by the seller, they may just no know.
I've found some cheap bulbs which work so i'm all sorted there but I now need an RGBW LED strip controller, I bought this one and it doesnt work with my gateway, it only works with the SMART LIFE app over WIFI which means you cant add it to a switch or dimmer via the gateway, or is there a workaround for that?

This is not the zigbee devices nor the generic zigbee gateway, it is more about the Domoticz plugin you are using. So it would be good if you can put more context
Zigbee for Domoticz plugin / RPI3B+ / Electrolama ZZH-P / 45 devices

What strip have you bought exactly and which controller do you use? I use a Conbee II and have found that all Zigbee devices I have ever bought are supported. If not there is the DeCONZ community with developers that more often than not add the device to the software.
ConBee II - TRÅDFRI lights + switches, loads of ChingLing dimmers and switches, Heiman and Xiaomi sensors
