Silvercrest Lidl Zigbee Doorbell button

Post by pocock »

This is about the Doorbell for Zigbee. There is another Lidl doorbell that uses rflink, it is discussed elsewhere in the forum.

I purchased one of these

It is able to join the Zigbee (Zigate) network

It appears as an Alarm device on the Utility tab

When I look at the Log tab for the device, there is no indication of when I pressed or released the button.

Therefore, I'm not sure if it is fully supported.

Can anybody give an example of how to use it, for example, to make an audible alarm sound or activate another device like the light?

What gateway do you use (Zigate, Zigbee2MQTT, Deconz)?
Then you should check that gateway if it is supported and what devices it should create.

Yes, it should be a doorbell switch. But it is just a simple switch, no sound in it etc . But also the alarm device should do show some state change that can be used further on. Try to remove the device from Domoticz and try to pair again. Have the device close to the Zigate during pairing.

Then you should use a blockly or dzVents script to trigger another Domoticz device to switch on. When you search on motion sensor scripts here on the forum you will find a lot of examples.

But first @pipiche will have to modify the plugin to have it create the good se
