Support Adafruit SGP30 Air Quality Sensor Breakout - VOC & eCO2

Post by VincentRouwhorst »

I want to hookup a CO2 sensor to my Domoticz setup to monitor Air Quality.

I have found the new CO2 sensor from Adafruit SGP30 Air Quality Sensor Breakout - VOC & eCO2.
This is a I2C sensor and uses I2C address 0x58.

But there is no support for this in the current stable version 3.8153 in and even in Beta there is nog support for this sensor
Is there a way that I can hook it up with scripting or is this sensor going to be supported by Domoticz?

After a long search I got the sensor SGP30 to work with my Raspberry Pi 3.
Thanks to Misterfifths that posted a Python translation for the Raspberry Pi on Github. Based on this script I have made a Python update script for Domoticz.

Github repository from Misterfifths:

My Forked repository with Domoticz demo script:

You can download it from Github to your Raspberry
git clone https://github.com/VincentRouwhorst/sgp30

Thanks for all your work and pots Vincent!
Ik helped me al lot to get started with my brand new SGP30 sensor. Although the sensor gives values in Domoticz it is not working correctly I suppose.
Have you made some updates since your post?
Kind regards, Eric
