Aeonlabs S2: Driver Failed

Post by bickel »

Today my domoticz suddenly stopped working.
The domoticz log shows:
Error: Aeonlabs S2: Driver Failed!!

The OZW_Log.txt shows:
Fatal, Failed to get HomeID or Controller Node ID during Init Sequence, m_homeId = 0x00000000, m_Controller_nodeId

On this forum i read some topics mentioning that it could be the battery of the stick so i measured the battery which gives 4 volt,
seems a bit high but at least not to low which you would expect with an old battery.

The stick is found in the os with lsusb:
lsusb
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. CP2102/CP2109 UART Bridge Controller [CP210x family]

To be sure i tried another usb port without success.

Any idea what this can be? I did not change anything the last weeks and it was running fine.
I'm running domoticz on a raspberry pi 2 on buster with a Aeonlabs S2 stick.

This week I had a similar problem with my s2 stick. Cause was that my disk was full. After I fixed that, my problem was gone

Tnx, that was the 1st thing that i checked.

But we can close this topic, for various reasons i decided it was time for a new setup and bought a new raspberry pi and a gen5 stick.
