Hi, I’m looking for some suggestions please.
I have Lightwaverf pirs, an rfxcom433 and domoticz, I also have a Conrad antenna connected to my rfxcom.
I have a couple of lwrf pir’s linked to lwrf dimmers as they are either out of range of my rfxcom or borderline so the signal isn’t always captured, the remainder work great through Domoticz.
What pir’s do you use that have a better range over the lwrf ones ? Are there any mains powered ones rather than battery ?
I would like ones that can connect straight to Domoticz and my rfxcom rather than another hub.
I’m also looking to replace my lwrf door contacts if you have some suggestions.
Even thought I have had lwrf, domoticz etc for years, I have never messed about with it too much, but now I have more time on my hands I’m looking to improve what I have.
Thanks in advance
Phil

I use these:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32813195102.html
They are particularly good as they are 'pet friendly' and can be powered by a USB feed.
Setup as a Lighting 4 client on the RFXTX433E
For Door contacts:

Thanks for that, I’ll look into the door contacts, but think the pir’s are a bit bulky for where I want them to go.

Re: Lightwaverf PIR replacements
I'd recommend getting yourself a zigbee stick, maybe a CC2531 and install zigbee2mqtt, you then have a much bigger choice of sensors etc
For instance the Aqara PIR is really small and the range on zigbee devices is very good, I have some sensors in my garage which is at the bottom of my garden (about 10 metres away) and my zigbee stick is in the house and i have no issues with range.

Re: Lightwaverf PIR replacements
Went with this thanks, niw have a cc2351 with 4 aqara pir’s and 5 door contacts.
The only issue I really have is the 90 off time on the pir’s, it’s a shame it’s not adjustable.
But as you say, size and range is excellent.

Re: Lightwaverf PIR replacements
I'm sure a quick request in dzvents should get you a response from some clever person (I can't program for toffee !!) what you need is a 'one shot' script meaning when a switch is set to on (maybe a door contact or pir) it sets another switch (maybe a light) on for X amount of time, that switch then goes off when X expires even if the door contact or pir is still on and X will not reset and retrigger the light until the pir / door contact goes off and then back on again for the next trigger cycle, you can then shorten the 90 off time, the only issue would be if you set the on time to 60 you can't retrigger for another 30 secs until the pir resets.
