Sonoff (Tasmota) garage door opener with contact sensor on GPIO 14

Post by dekoene »

Hi all,

I'm trying to get the garage door to work with a sonoff SV device and complementary contact sensor on GPIO 14.

The first part is pretty straight forward and I'm able to open/close the garage door with the Sonoff device (with a dummy switch in Domoticz). I followed the following guide:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMepwpy ... nnel=DrZzs

The problem I'm dealing with is the reading of the output from the sensor on GPIO 14 towards Domoticz. The video explains this for another home automation system. In the Tasmota console I see the input from the sensor so that's working fine.

How can I get the sensor output in Domoticz to update a dummy switch? I want to see in Domoticz if the garage door is actually opened or closed via the contact sensor.

Thanks!
Koen

I use the tasmoticz plugin to detect tasmota devices an their sensors. It will automatically create all necessary devices in domoticz..

Thanks for the input! I wasn't aware of this plugin but I've 15 other sonoff devives running without any problems in Domotics.

It's the sensor feedback I wasn't aware how to configure. I noticed now that I simply had to put the corresponding Domoticz idx (dummy switch for the sensor status) in the Tasmota Domoticz configuration page at the correct sensor (Power).

Before I was trying to get this working with mqtt parameters etc.

Maybe it was too straight forward :-)

I also use Tasmoticz, but apparently I made an error in the tasmota settings. I guess you assign a switch to the reeds sensor gpio. Should be the sensor switch disconnected from relay? What should be the switchtopic for the reeds sensor switch?
Tasmoticz finds sonoff relay without aby trobles, however switch is not recognized at all. I was checking console and it does send a starus update each time it reeds is disconnected/connected.
