Hi,
What is the best hardware/software to read
Battery voltage and current from solar panels
To connect to domoticz?
Right now i have solar panels 240w 12v and a battery
With victron 100/20 regulator.
Question, what do i need to read solar charging

Interesting question. I’m getting solar panels when I get my own house like in this review https://websolarguide.com/buy-or-lease-solar-panels/

Hi,
This depends on what you have installed, number of panels you have or plan to install, type and brand of inverter and (not unimportant) your budget.
Mostly the solar panels are put in series and connected to a, so called, string inverter. The inverters are available of many brands and types.
It depends in general on how many panels and total power you have to convert from DC to AC power.
An alternative is to use micro-inverters, where each panels gets its own inverter. You have in this case one inverter per panel and so you are able to receive the individual values of each panel.
The more panels you have the more expensive the second solution will be.
The turning point is about 7 panels. If you have less the micro-inverter might be cheaper. If you have more the string inverter is definitively cheaper.
The advantage of micro-inverters is that you avoid higher DC voltage on your roof.
Micro inverters are, among others, available from Enphase and APSystems. Enphase has also a possibility for battery back-up.
Regards

Hi, did you find the solution how to read Victron data in Domoticz?

I have a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 which I get values from and send to Domoticz.
I use a Victron TX cable connected to an ESP8266 running "Victron MPPT ve.direct to MQTT" (https://github.com/KinDR007/Victron-MPP ... ct-to-MQTT).
The data is sent to MQTT and Node-RED modify/adjust the data and then sends it to Domoticz via MQTT.
The result:
