I have not been able to get remote access to my Domoticz system via MyDomoticz (my.domoticz.com) since MyDomoticz was migrated around 20 January 2021. Until that point all worked fine. I have tried roughly every second day since then, always with the same negative result.
Local access to my Domoticz system works fine, and all the automation works as it should. So no problem with the installation itself.
I can log in at the my.domoticz.com login page. But the icon to access my instance is red and hence I can't get any further.
No changes have been made to my installation since October 2020, at which point my Raspberry Pi 3+ was updated with all software (Raspbian and Domoticz). Fixed IP address remains unchanged and has also been set as an assigned IP in the router.
I automatically reboot my Raspberry Pi once a week (complete with Domoticz startup) and automatically do a further restart of Domoticz twice a week to minimize chances of red icon issues (of which I had quite a few in the past).
After reboot or Domoticz restart, the instance access icon in MyDomoticz is green. So my instance is clearly recognized by MyDomoticz. And next to the access icon, the time online since restart is also correctly displayed.
But when clicking on the icon, nothing happens. There is a long wait time - and then nothing. When refreshing or using the back button, the instance access icon has become red. And that's where it all stops.
It seems to me that there might still be something that is not entirely completed / correct after the migration. Is there some kind of issue related to the login validation, maybe? A corrupt authorization database or errors in the calls to it, maybe?
Anyone who could check into this so that it will again be possible to reach my instance via MyDomoticz?
If it takes time to fix this issue – is there any way the old version / installation of MyDomoticz could be rolled back as everything worked perfectly prior to the migration in January 2021?

Re: Remote access via MyDomoticz no longer works
Almost 1 week and no replies.
Does that mean that no one else is having problem with remote access via MyDomoticz?
Or does it mean that people aren't using MyDomoticz?
Would appreciate some kind of feedback so that I at least know what to do as I still cannot access my system via MyDomoticz (tried again today, Friday 19 Feb 2021).
Is there any kind of support for MyDomoticz?

I have the same issues but do not need Mydomoticz for my daily use.
But is is a pity no one is taking up these issues. I suppose the developer of Mydomoticz is busy or not available. Some feedback would be nice. Including the one like "I have no time, can look into it in a month or so.."

Re: Remote access via MyDomoticz no longer works
Today, 1 March 2021, it finally worked again. I can finally access my Domoticz instance remotely again via MyDomoticz.
A big thank you to whoever managed to get this fixed.
May I suggest that when something does get fixed (and has been truly tested and confirmed to work correctly), that a note is sent to the board saying 1) it has been fixed and 2) what the cause was. Might help alleviate a lot of future frustration.
Whilst I think Domoticz is great, it also does require some babysitting. Not the software itself, but the whole system with switches and transmitters. Although the software does its job, signals may not always reach the various switches as and when intended (for a variety of reasons).
Due to this overall system weakness, it is to me essential to have a working MyDomoticz so that I can ensure e.g. temperature in an unattended cabin stays at the range set by the software thermostat. The software may activate / deactivate the switches at the correct times / temperatures. But sometimes the switch itself does not receive the signal. Result - the temperature goes very high or extremely cold. And that's when I remotely need to manually turn switches on and off and then monitor a few hours later that temperatures are changing as required.
Hopefully MyDomoticz will now be up and running without further issues. As the saying goes - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: Remote access via MyDomoticz no longer works
I clearly spoke too soon. Just a few hours after I elatedly proclaimed MyDomoticz to be working again, I was again met with a red icon after having logged in.
So it really seems that MyDomoticz is highly unstable. At least for the time-being.
With a properly working MyDomoticz I am convinced that Domoticz can take the step into the real world of useful applications for automation whereby it can be operated both locally and remotely. As it is, though ...
Is anyone at all addressing MyDomoticz? Or should my hopes simply be shelved?

Re: Remote access via MyDomoticz no longer works
I have similar experience on my Rpi4 on beta 13049.
Looks to me that mydomoticz cause the web service on RPi to crash.
When I try to access mydomoticz and the icon is green, then the local web crashes an I have to restart Domoticz
I really this this is a great service to have and I hope it is fixable.

Re: Remote access via MyDomoticz no longer works
Well I am trying this very interesting service already for half a year. Only ones I have been able to get it working. I do have my own sub net as in https://xxxxxx.mydomoticz.com/ but it is always very, very slow or does not come up at all. I would really like it to work though. I will keep on trying..... Also I would not mind to pay a small fee every year for these type of services to work.

Re: Remote access via MyDomoticz no longer works
As MyDomoticz clearly does not work (it has only worked intermittently since January 2021), and as there does not seem to be any effort to make it work (no one has so far stepped up and said "I am / we are working on this and plan to have it sorted out by ..."), I guess there is only 1 alternative, namely adopting alternative ways of accessing my local Domoticz instance remotely (and securely).
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to best do this? Anyone with real experience as to what works and what needs to be done to make it work properly? And to do so securely.
Looking forward to views / recommendations.
