Inches unit - Barometric pressure & Precipitation Rate?

Is it possible to set barometric pressure and precipitation rate units to "INCHES". I'd appreciate that - maybe other old schoolers would too...maybe it is possible in a script or something, but new user here and still getting up the learning curve. Thanks for any suggestions or pointers to the correct things to tweak.
