RFLink + Wi-Fi
Hi All,
i have been using the rf link via USB for a couple of years but have decided to move it over to wi-fi using
https://www.nodo-shop.nl/nl/home/191-rf ... print.html
and
https://www.nodo-shop.nl/nl/home/189-nodemcu.html
after using an online translater I followed the setup guide - https://www.nodo-shop.nl/nl/index.php?c ... achment=35
So currently the nodemcu is connected to my wi-fi and I have configured the serial port as shown in the guide but domoticz doesn't grab any data from it

Re: RFLink + Wi-Fi
Hi,
I run into the same issue where it has been working before.
There are no devices detected.
I can configure my NodeMCU (ESP) with no problem directly by it's IP address, so it is connected in my network (also visible in router).
EDIT: now I see the NodeMCU won't connect to Domoticz anymore. The Log says:
Still able to connect it directly by IP address.
Any ideas?
Gr,
Ron

Re: RFLink + Wi-Fi
The ESPeasy version you are using is ancient.
A lot of progress has been made on wifi connectivity since version 147
i suggest you try one of the more recent versions from here https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEasy/releases

Re: RFLink + Wi-Fi
Bert,
according to the ESPEasy developers much improvements have been made in wifi stability.
you can setup a device in espeasy "generic system info" which can show RSSI, web activity etc.
that may help to determine the cause of the connection loss
if you make a sensor in domoticz that will keep the history for you
https://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/inde ... le=SysInfo
if it is not a connection loss problem on the esp side, you can monitor the incoming rx/tx using the serial monitor on the esp, but you probably know that already

Re: RFLink + Wi-Fi
I do indeed. Problem is, the error occurs only once in a couple of days.

Re: RFLink + Wi-Fi
maybe this will help.
this is a set of rules that will reboot the esp when a loss of connectivity occurs (that can be detected by the esp)

Re: RFLink + Wi-Fi
Hi All,
I am experiencing the same issues once in a while. All this with the latest stable Beta of Domoticz installed. The RFLink is pingable and the webpage the ESP8266 provides is working so Wifi connection is all good, but domoticz is disconnected and issuing "Bad address" errors. Restarting the RFLink does not resolve the issue. Trying to disable and re-enable the RFLink LAN hardware in domoticz results in a crash of domoticz. Stopping and restarting domoticz completely is the only resolution.
Did the suggested solution result in a stable system? Or is there something fishy in the RFLink LAN Hardware implementation in Domoticz, since it results in crashing the domoticz process?
Thanks for any help on this issue.
Cheers, Armand

Re: RFLink + Wi-Fi
Would it be possible to get Domoticz's crash dump?
Even if initial cause is perhaps not in plugin, crashing Domoticz is for sure not normal.
