Domoticz Version: 2020.2 / b63341bc0 / 2020-04-26 13:47:55
Platform: Pi / Linux <host> 5.4.79-v7+ #1373 SMP Mon Nov 23 13:22:33 GMT 2020 armv7l GNU/Linux
Plugin/Hardware: TI CC2531 USB CDC
Description:
I am not longer able to add Zigbee devices (see them under Setup - Devices) to Domoticz in this version; The Zigbee2MQTT seems to be working. I see messages in the log:
2020-12-16 16:09:57.045 (Zigbee2MQTT) MqttClient::subscribe
2020-12-16 16:09:57.095 (Zigbee2MQTT) onMQTTSubscribed
2020-12-16 16:09:57.096 (Zigbee2MQTT) Zigbee2mqtt bridge is online
2020-12-16 16:09:57.096 (Zigbee2MQTT) MqttClient::publish zigbee2mqtt/bridge/config/groups ()
2020-12-16 16:09:57.097 (Zigbee2MQTT) Zigbee2mqtt log level is info
2020-12-16 16:09:57.097 (Zigbee2MQTT) Joining new devices is disabled on the zigbee bridge
2020-12-16 16:09:57.148 (Zigbee2MQTT) Received groups list from bridge
I have a new button 'Custom' with an option Zigbee2MQTT where I can see my paired devices. I can even pair new devices here without a problem.
Used to go to 'Settings' - 'Hardware/Devices' - 'Allow for 5 Minutes' and just paired the device and it would show up.
Who can point me in the right direction?
I no longer can add Zigbee devices to Domoticz

just one thing to check... (i'm no expert on this)
does your zigbee2mqtt allow pairing? There is a setting in the configuration.yaml. I'm not sure domoticz would actually update that setting when you allow new hardware in domoticz. If you run the development branch of z2m you can also run a webgui directly from z2m where you can set z2m to allow pairing, but updating config and restarting z2m works as well.

Yeah, I see all my zigbee devices under the Custom-button/Zigbee2mqtt; But I was used that when it paired again it was shown as a device under Setup/Devices;
That is no longer working, I have a new item:
zigbee2mqtt api_transport 255 zigbee2mqtt - Zigbee2MQTT API Transport General Text
This shows the messages between zigbee and Domoticz
------------------------------
Maybe something has changed in the way I should add the device, but I cannot find it...

Re: I no longer can add Zigbee devices to Domoticz
n range the more mains-powered devices you that you add your network mesh, Zigbee supports encyption, so it is harder to listen in on your devices. devices by the Zigbee Alliance cost more and though it is not requires it is Zigbee devices can transmit data over long distances by passing data Unfortunately, Zigbee devices of different protocols can't exactly talk to each other well. Zigbee 3.0, however, unifies all these protocols so that they can work together.

I rolled back the 2020.2 and just added the support for the devices I need. It seems to be working now after some tweaking of the code.
