Hey everybody!
I'm running domoticz 2020.2 on a Raspi 3b+ without any problems since month. Now I did do a backup using the raspi card tool. When I deconnected the sd card the system went nuts. The zwave.me stick wasn't shown in hardware anymore - everything gone.
Now I plugged it into a different USB port (changed also the power supply to 3 Amp) and added the zwave stick as new hardware. Now I can see all zwave devices (if I go to zwave configuration) and can controll them over the panel - but when I'm using domoticz switches and scripts it tells me, that the device (with IDx number) is not connected or reachable. The link between the hardware and the IDx seems to be "broken". What can I do to fix it?
Please don't tell me to rebind all devices... please please... the zwace network is up and running...
Thanks folks!
Boris

Re: Zwave devices not reachable after USB port change
Solution could be to make your USB device use the same port ALL the time.
See: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/PersistentUSBDevices
Because sometimes after reboot, or when you manually change the USB port of a device the OS comes up with an other USB port for the device.
That might depend on the booting order and/or different racing conditions of services etc. during boot.
If you do that, normally the Zwave network will come up again without loss.

I did all the steps and assigned as supposed in the link - but without a change... I can reach ZWave devices through ozwcp but not with domoticz...
Re: Zwave devices not reachable after USB port change
Do you have Setup -> Settings -> "Accept new Hardware Devices" enabled?
Because you added the Zwave device as new hardware you probably have a new Hardware IDX assigned to the Zwave stick.
