Proposal for new device in Domoticz
I have a Senseair tSense CO2-meter (https://senseair.com/products/tsense/tsense-display/) which sends its data via a USB-port to a program that shows and logs de CO2-data.
Is it possible to add this device to Domoticz?

Re: Proposal for new device in Domoticz
At the Senseair-website reference is made to a ModBus Interface description (TDE0103.pdf).
To be checked how this description for this device matches with Domoticz, either by plugin, or by script.
According to productsheet PSP3488.pdf also analogue outputs 0~10V available:
easy, but less direct & (possibly) less accurate, because ADC required to read such signals.
Also translation needed to get readout in PPM from the ADC-value.

Set1 = RPI-Zero+RFXCom433+S0PCM+Shield for BMP180/DS18B20/RS485+DDS238-1ZNs
Set2 = RPI-3A++RFLinkGTW+ESP8266s+PWS_WS7000
Common = KAKUs+3*PVLogger+PWS_TFA_Nexus
plus series of 'satellites' for dedicated interfacing, monitoring & control.

It is already present. Type Air Quality, Voltcraft CO-20. Unit is ppm.
Now find a way to convert your data into this sensor. Node-red?

Thanks for your responses.
EddyG, I assume that by "type" you mean "hardware type"? However, I cannot find a type "Air quality" in the hardware list.

You need to search for voltcraft.

I am sorry Edwin, but I see neither Voltcraft nor air quality in the hardware list.

You can find it there.
Maybe it's just in the beta version of Domoticz.

First add a 'Dummy (Does nothing, use for virtual switches') type hardware.HoogendoornJH wrote: ↑Monday 19 October 2020 18:18 I am sorry Edwin, but I see neither Voltcraft nor air quality in the hardware list.
Push the highlighted [Create Virtual Sensor] on the just created hardware.
Select sensor type Air Quality name- and create it by pressing OK.
It will show up in the devices tab like the ones below
Debian buster, bullseye on RPI-4, Intel NUC.

OK, I did, but how do I link it to the SenseAir CO2-meter?

Via an API call or MQTT or mySensors ? Either direct or via a broker like Node-RedHoogendoornJH wrote: ↑Monday 19 October 2020 19:09 OK, I did, but how do I link it to the SenseAir CO2-meter?

Mmm, strange Edwin. I upgraded to the latest version, but do not find the Voltcraft in the hardware list.

Have you tried clearing browser- and appcache (different things) ?HoogendoornJH wrote: ↑Tuesday 20 October 2020 9:25 Mmm, strange Edwin. I upgraded to the latest version, but do not find the Voltcraft in the hardware list.
- clear appcache
Chrome: chrome://appcache-internals/#
Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/storage
- in www/js look for domoticz.js.gz, if its there remove it, (KEEP domoticz.js !! )
- use incognito mode using
Chrome [control] [shift] n
Firefox: [control] [shift] p

I performed your suggestions (did not find domoticz.js.gz), but still no Voltcraft.

Re: Proposal for new device in Domoticz
Ah, yes, what a pity. Anyhow, thanks for the support.
By the way, I have a Raspberry Pi operational. Would it be better to have Domoticz running on a Raspberry Pi?

Re: Proposal for new device in Domoticz
Any idea what the advantages of running Domoticz on a Raspberry Pi in stead of Windows could be, apart from a possible antipathy for windows (and access to Voltcraft)?

Re: Proposal for new device in Domoticz
I only have Windows on my desktop and laptop and they are not powered 24/7 because of the energy usage.HoogendoornJH wrote: ↑Tuesday 20 October 2020 12:18 Any idea what the advantages of running Domoticz on a Raspberry Pi in stead of Windows could be, apart from a possible antipathy for windows (and access to Voltcraft)?
All other reasons are as said subjective and related to my lack of knowledge of the Windows toolsets and my preference for opensource + the tools / possibilities of Linux.
In fact I have domoticz on Windows, Synology, Raspberry Pi and Intel NUC for test and development and my "production" domoticz is on Intel NUC.

Re: Proposal for new device in Domoticz
OK, thanks for your opinion, waaren. May be I'll give Domoticz on the RasPi a try (the most difficult thing being the handling of USB ports). Actually, I am more used to a Windows environment and apart from a few remarkable things (which I will post soon), Domoticz works quite well under Windows (running 24/7 on a Surface 3). In general and as far as possible, I share your preference for opensource.

For what it's worth: a little Windows programme that came with the Voltcraft CO-20 USB stick is still downloadable from the Conrad website:waaren wrote: ↑Tuesday 20 October 2020 11:16See below screenshot from the wikiHoogendoornJH wrote: ↑Tuesday 20 October 2020 11:05 I performed your suggestions (did not find domoticz.js.gz), but still no Voltcraft.
