._index showing in custom menu

i added an index.html to template folder and enabled custom menu but after refreshing i get 2 sub menus on the custom tab: index & ._index

if i click on the ._index menu item this shows on the page:

there is only index.html in the folder (i checked finder is "showing all/system files")
