Xiaomi temperature notifications

Post by Marbaf »

Hi all,
Looks too big to be true.
After loss of my freezer content, I found out that I do not receive any notification from Xiaomi temperature sensors whereas it works fine with other temperature sensors (from RFXCOM).
I first thought it was due to negative value, but no matter the test, no mail from Xiaomi sensors.
I am running beta 10915.
Any idea what could be wrong?

I have the same problem.
No notification with xiaomi temperature sensors (via the xiaomi gateway).
But notifications work on my radio temperature sensors (Oregon diy via rflink)
(sorry for my English, I'm French)

After long and boring update of domoticz beta forcing to upgrade raspbian to Buster, no improvment.
Actually I managed to get one notification from another Xiaomi sensor with positive temperature value to compare.
But with two others, I tryed several times puting sensors in fridge, then out. No email at all. Gonna switch to Bash.

Just checked with latest Beta (build 12230) and notification from my Xiaomi sensors works OK in my environment just as all other (none Xiaomi) sensors. What is a difference in my setup is the slow update of the temperature. It can take up to 30 minutes before the update is visible. I don't see that behavior with the other Xiaomi devices like switches, buttons or cubes.

I was surprised to receive a mail for one sensor but none for others (I played with 3). I wonder if negative values (freezer temperature) are well supported.
Anyway, even after modification of threshold to positive value, no mail received.
There are some notification parameters about intervals. I set the minimum for both.

Please note that a notification is not send directly when the rule is set / reset.
The notifications are send when the device receives an update and the set condition evaluates to true.
