Mijia light sensor And new Mijia gateway

Post by Markiey99 »

Hello all,

I have been using Domoticz with pleasure for a number of years.

at this moment I am still using the Xiaomi aqara Gateway v1 through which I have connected temperature and door sensors.

But I would like to have the Xiaomi mijia light sensor paired in my domiticz configuration. (https://a.aliexpress.com/_dVfVqUR) is there a solution for this?

I also saw this new device: https://a.aliexpress.com/_dUM1R3Z

can it be linked to domoticz just like the Aqara gateway?

hopefully you can help me, despite my google translate english.

best regards,
Markiey

Hi, i have the new Xiaomi Multimode Smart Home Gateway and the Xiaimi/Mijia Gateway/Hub v2 connected on my Domoticz and the new Xiaomi light sensor . But i can't see the light sensor or the new Gateway on Domoticz. Only in the Xiaomi Home App. This new light sensor works only with the new Xiaomi Multimode Smart Home Gateway with zigbee 3.0

I became this error from Domoticz protocol for the new Gateway:
2020-05-26 00:47:37.295 Error: XiaomiGateway: received data from unregisted gateway!

Here you can find information's about connecting this new gateway with other smart home platforms. It works not on my Domoticz v2020.2. But the new Gateway is not registered on Domoticz side.

If you have a Home Assistant (or OpenHAB, etc.), after the gateway is up and running, you may notice in the notifications that a new integrable device has become available, which is a HomeKit component: We are a Smart Home Hub. And if it’s already released like this, why not try setting it up, which just requires the code mentioned above, because yes, Home Assistant supports Apple HomeKit devices, including this gateway, among other things . Once you have entered the code, the Home Assistant will connect to the gateway and recognize the associated sub-devices nicely, just like we used to. These can then be used with our other integrated devices even for automation.

Switching to ZiGate can be a solution, the new light sensor works great with it. Also all other Xiaomi sensors

The other gateways are still not working (and probably never will).
But a better options is the DIY gateway. cheap, reliable: https://www.gadget-freakz.com/diy-zigbee-gateway/
