SQL Database

Post by Bospieper »

Hello,
I am using the SQL database installed with Domoticz. The problem I have is as follows: when the database has more then a hundred devices in the Device Status List of the SQL database, Domoticz devicelist is empty. When I remove devices from the list to a number below hundred, the devicelist in Domoticz is visible. I have tried a varius of possible solutions presented in the Domoticz forums, did a series of re-install and new-install of several Domoticz versions, replaced the SD card several times and tried Stretch en Buster. Non of the above mentioned did solve my problem. The database itself is ok when I perform a integrity check. I don't know where to look for solving this problem. It seems that I am the only one with this problem.
I hope there is Domoticz user who can help me understanding the problem and hopefully resolve it.
Currently using Domoticz version 2020.2 on Buster
Build hash:b63341bc0
Raspberry Pi 3+

For my understanding. The device list in domoticz count 25 devices per page.
So you only have 4 pages and with device 101 added it show just a blank page or 4 blank pages?

Hello EddyG,
Your understanding is correct. It makes no difference if I choose for 25 devices per page, or 100 per page or All. The devicelist becomes empty with exceeding the hundred. It is limiting the number of hardware I can use in Domoticz.
As a workaround I make a copy of the domoticz.db and adjust the new hardware directly in de database device statuslist and replace the adjusted database back in Domoticz.

What do you adjust directly in the database?
Did you try this?

In the domoticz.db I adjust the colom "used" by replacing the zero for a one (0 or 1) to set the device active.

In all the solutions witch has been added to the forum was this one of the first I did. Unfortunately it was not the solution. When I start from scratch while adding hardware it shows in the devicelist. As soon hardware is submitted and it has devices witch exceed the total of hundred the devicelist becomes empty.

I have only 1 Hardware device (Zwave) which has almost 300 devices, but only a very limited (45) of those are set 'used'.
It's my production database so I just cannot set everything to 'used'.
I tested my production database on my test system, and everything looks as it should.
All devices are listed.
Now it is up to the developers to give an answer. Probably something simple.

Hello EddyG,
I think you have given me the solution to solve the problem. When you mentioned the removal from cache and appcache it reminded me that I haven't tried to reinstall Firefox on my pc. So I did and adjust in the privacy & Security section the Cookies and Site Data section. It looks promissing now.
I will test with adding new hardware. Currently I now have a visibel devicelist of 103 devices :D
