Update Domoticz fails - Could not start download Topic is solved

What i did:
- Created a clean raspbian Buster (required for new version) on a 2nd Pi.
- Installed the same version as current Pi: 4.10717
- Copied the DB, zwcfg...xml, and global_data.lua
- Started, modified some events because username changed.
- reboot
- run for a day, zwave devices respond, hourly backups get created
- no issues other than an occasional 'longer than 10 seconds' for the '.../runtime/dzVents.lua

So time to upgrade. But hitting the popup 'Update Now' or using the menu 'Update Domoticz' gives me...

Could not start download,
check your internet connection or try again later !...

Tried it using Firefox and MS Edge.
From both browsers i can access the Domoticz website, wiki and forum.

What am i missing?

Could you try a sudo ./updatebeta from the CLI while in the domoticz directory and report back ?

Hi,

I noticed the same yesterday evening, approx 23:00h, but I succeeded to upgrade from the commandline. It required two or three attempts. At the same time I noticed a very slow Domoticz website. The forum was hardly browsable.

So obviously a problem at the Domoticz website.

Should have thought of that myself, but up till now it always worked on the other system.
Probably some minor difference in linux owner/rights. Will try to find.

Yes, it worked, but i did the 'updaterelease' for now.
The 'About' now shows 'Version: 2020.2'.
