Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I think i found the problem for the Pi problem. I have sent a patch to the admins of Domoticz so it can be included in an upcoming release. I would like to get some feedback once you've tried it.

Thanks to the speedy work of gizmocuz it's checked in. Version 2207 contains the new code.gb160 wrote: Will be happy to test as soon as it's available...can you post to let me know what beta version the patch will be applied to,as I struggle to keep up with all the available updates

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Not a stupid question. I only tested if the previous bugs are fixed. This is a new issue. I can confirm the 'add new devices' code is broken in this build. Sorry. It now only works with existing devices. I will look at this ASAP

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
It's logging activity changes when I use my harmony remote...
when I tried the previous version, it added the devices instantly, not sure if that helps.
Code: Select all

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Just compiled svn 2084 for my Synology and can confirm errors are not filling the logs anymore. Activity changes are visible ofcourse. Nice work

Just tried 2086, and the issues the same for me...I added the harmony in hardware, it connects ok in the log, yet no devices are added.CodeItAway wrote:Please try the new version: 2084 and let me know if you encounter any problems.gb160 wrote:It's logging activity changes when I use my harmony remote...when I tried the previous version, it added the devices instantly, not sure if that helps.Code: Select all

It'd be interesting to know if others are experiencing the same on the pi.
I appreciate the assistance your giving, many thanks.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I think the terms used by Domoticz and Harmony are inconsistant and cause confusion.remb0 wrote:My activities are added but not my devices.
From what I can gather, the Domoticz hardware only supports Harmony activities, not Harmony Devices. What's confusing is the Harmony activities are added to Domoticz as Devices!!
I hope that make sense. Might have to read it as slowly as I had to write it

Running Domoticz on Pi3 with RFXtrx433e. LWRF power sockets and dimmer switches. Integrated my existing wirefree alarm PIRs and door contacts with domoticz. Geofencing with Pilot. Harmony Hub. Tado for Heating. Now playing with mysensors.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I'm running this on Windows but I do have to reboot the Harmony hub before any new activities appear in the Devices tab if I make changes. Try rebooting your Harmony Hub.gb160 wrote:Just tried 2086, and the issues the same for me...I added the harmony in hardware, it connects ok in the log, yet no devices are added.CodeItAway wrote:Please try the new version: 2084 and let me know if you encounter any problems.gb160 wrote:It's logging activity changes when I use my harmony remote...when I tried the previous version, it added the devices instantly, not sure if that helps.Code: Select all

Thanks for the tip, although it made no difference.markk wrote:

I agree with your point about domoticz/harmony activities/devices....it's slightly confusing, however I hope I've grasped the concept that after the harmony authentification has been successful, my harmony activities should be added to my domoticz devices automatically.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Hmmmmm, not working for me either now. Just added a new activity on the Hub but not showing as a device in Domoticz. First time I tried to add new since updating to Windows V2.2044!

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Ok, I've just broken mine. I added a new activity to my Harmony that wasn't showing up in Domoticz so, I uninstalled and reinstalled the hardware and now everything has gone . The activity changes are showing in the log but no activities are showing in my devices. I didn't think anything had changed to break this hardware in the windows version. I'm really annoyed with myself!

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
@CodeItAway - I've now got a similar problem on Windows. All worked fine but then I added an activity to my hub which didn't show up in my Devices in Domoticz. Stupidly, I thought this was a slight bug and thought I'd uninstall the old hardware and devices from Domoticz and just add them all again. It worked like that before. However, having done that I'm now connecting to the hub no problem but none of my activities are being added to my Domoticz devices . I even rolled back to the previous version of Domoticz with no luck. Any advice would be gravely appreciated. I loved this feature in Domoticz.CodeItAway wrote:I think i found the problem for the Pi problem. I have sent a patch to the admins of Domoticz so it can be included in an upcoming release. Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I can only think that Harmony have changed something which has broken it. I'm so gutted. The ability to control my IR devices with Domoticz was awsome for me

Don't think so as the old method still works.markk wrote:I can only think that Harmony have changed something which has broken it. I'm so gutted. The ability to control my IR devices with Domoticz was awsome for me
