For all who have problems with their sensative strips. If you put the magnet on the round side of the strip (light goes on) , remove it and redo 2 (or 3) times, the strip is awake. After that I saw it in the hardware configuration of z-wave. All batterie controlled devices have to be awakend. The awakening is also described in the manual of the strip.

Is there a sound description of a safe way how to install it and still keep all what you implemented before?

edit: solved, new Domoticz level up and running (minor problem, see below).
Curious what you did to keep all implemented before? Was a restore of the database, scripts and plugins sufficient?
Thx!

This button has no function with domoticz on a Synology NAS. You will have to wait until @jumbotroll prepared a package (if at all possible for the ds115j)
You can get rid of the message by unmarking

Software Updates:
Check for Updates (Not working on windows systems)

in tab

[setup][settings][system]
Same message/problem on my 1618+
I see no update for the Synology Nas on the Jumbtroll page so I have unchecked the SW update check.
Let's wait ..

Sorry, this was my first serious change in my installation. The restore of the database was sufficient. I had the LUA scripts stored on my PC, no extra plugins. The old blocklys were stored in the database.

BTW, replaced the NAS meanwhile (pulled it forward because of excess time at home ;) ).
This sort of migration (new install) went OK, too. Only difference was the OPENZwave on the USB. Had to add it again and then the rest was the same (except for one device I had to delete and add again).
Unfortunately the browser keeps telling me there is a new version available (delete of browser cache and cookies did not change that).

Best regards

The upgrade to 2020.1 stable completely messed up my home automation due to MQTT-loopback not working any more.
And although there is an issue made in Github and maybe they will implement a solution, I fear this will take to long for wife and kids to keep sane :).
https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/is ... -607198133

Therefor I would really like to roll back to the previous version. I searched this thread and the rest of the forum/internet but can not really find a definite answer whether this is possible or not.

What I have done so far:
1. I manually downloaded domoticz_avoton-6.2_4.0.10717-8.spk
2. I downloaded a back up from my Domoticz DB
3. I did not add any hardware (like Buienradar or anything from the new version)

Question; I
s it possible to go back to the previous version by manually installing the downloaded spk?
Or do I need to delete Domoticz as a package and reinstall it manually. And in that last case; is the backup of the database sufficient for all scripts, etc. I have made quite a few mods and scripts and would hate to see al that work go to waste.

I have exactly the same problem om my DS216j.

I had to make go back to the previous release by making a clean reinstall of that and copy my backup scripts and DB into it. I will wait for the next release instead if the issue is not resolved.

1) Save your scripts and your database.
2) make a clean installation.
3) move your scripts and databases back inte the installed app
4) now it should work.

This is how I do all installations on Synology. Upgrading Domoticz has not worked even once for me on Synology.

Good thread thanks for the input. Also looking into rolling back.
How must one go about a " clean install" ? Simple uninstall via dsm or anything else ?
Thanks

Uninstalling via DSM will result in a complete wipe of all folders, so make sure that you've got your scripts and plugins backed-up!

If there is any chance that Jadahl will read this:

Can you set up a Patreon account? I'm sure most of us would happily send some money your way every month. Domoticz on Synology is by far the most stable, convenient and dependable solution (at lest for me) and I have become pretty dependent on it. I would love to support you in order to keep you going... Hope you're OK and doing fine in these times....that goes for everyone here!

Hi all,

I can only assume something is on the cards for synology users. Check out the "News and updates" section, and the post about Domoticz 2020.2 stable being released :
If you are using Domoticz on other platforms (Like for instance on a Synology NAS), it could be some time before it is ready. Please be patient, we are all trying to do our best to get it released as soon as possible!
Let's hope it is indeed on the way. Nonetheless donations towards developers is indeed something I personaly think we should all do to support their work, not only towards jumbotroll but also towards the Domoticz community and other app developpers.

I'm also relying on synology, have no desire for an extra RPi lying about, so following this thread closely. Let's be patient, and look forward to a new spk at some point 8-)

Who do I need to contact to explain me the process for building the spk's? Once I know the bottleneck, I'm willing to create an automation for it.
Please let me know by sending me a PM.

Are you using reverse-proxy? If so, you'll have to add WebSocket to your header since Domoticz 2020.1.
