I'm trying to organize my 50+ devices under the Switches tab by grouping them together in a (for me) logical way.
I have "Allow Widget Re-order" enabled so I can drag-and-drop a device widget to its new position.
However I cannot figure out the logic that is being used to determine where the displaced widget (the one that is being pushed away) is going to. Sometimes it take the empty position that was created but at times it shows up elsewhere and a lot of other devices are being re-positioned.
This makes re-arranging widgets a frustrating effort.
Can someone explain me what Domoticz's re-order principle is ?
widget re-order principle ?

Re: widget re-order principle ?
Mystery solved.
When you move (drag-and-drop) a widget to a new position it leaves an empty position in your grid.
If this empty position is above or at left of the new position then the widget being replaced will move left and at the same time push all other widgets in the chain "upwards" untill the open space is filled.
If the empty position is below or at right of the new position, then the chain of widgets to the right will all be pushed "downward" until the open space is filled.
This means that you have to plan carefully is you want to have your widgets at a partical position in the grid. Moving one may cause all others to move.

Re: widget re-order principle ?
Can it be an idea to make this behaviour more logic? The way it works now makes it a puzzle like a Rubic's Cube
