I was doubting about the interest of an app (web app is working great). It gives me a definitive answer...

It works just fine for me, and mostly it's more convenient than using web...
Same problem here...
I'ts something that should be changed on the Domoticz system side.. DewGew created a issue on Domoticz github
Do you have the latest version of Domoticz??FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Wednesday 01 January 2020 20:24 For me the notification popups don't work at all... But I don't feel Galadril really cares much anymore...
Sorry guys.. its been quite busy here. Don't forget that I do domoticz mobile app development in my free time and I became father for the 2th time/FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Friday 25 October 2019 0:51 It feels like Galadril pretty much ignores us until he's got a new version to promote, answers a few posts and then goes away again for months...
Geofences is till only for Android indeed..FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Friday 25 October 2019 0:51 In the mean time the website claims "it has geofencing", when that is patently untrue for the IOS version of the app...
Its fixed and added to the next releaseChristTheGreat wrote: ↑Saturday 18 January 2020 19:12 I see that this already been said:
Humidity is only shown with a name e.g. "wet" and not the percentage.
Is this something that will be modified one day? On Android app, I can see the number % but not on iOS.
By the way, thanks, I really love domoticz
Congratulations on the new child! Hope you are all healthy!galadril wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 April 2020 8:18Sorry guys.. its been quite busy here. I get it is probably not an easy thing to implement*, but at least put it on the website and in the App description that it is NOT in there and there is no estimate when (if ever) it will be implemented... Geofences is really the main reason I got the app**, and it's lack thereof meant there was no real reason to keep it, and the other issues were sufficient to delete it. The mobile web version is almost as functional and does what I need for 95% of the situations.galadril wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 April 2020 8:18Geofences is till only for Android indeed..FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Friday 25 October 2019 0:51 In the mean time the website claims "it has geofencing", when that is patently untrue for the IOS version of the app...
I did at the time, I am using the newest version now (updated to the latest stable when it was released), but I stopped using the App, because it didn't work reliably, and never got any response...galadril wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 April 2020 8:16Do you have the latest version of Domoticz??FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Wednesday 01 January 2020 20:24 For me the notification popups don't work at all... Gotya.. aldo I have like 10 github projects to response to Issue requests.. on the Android project people always made issues on github.. so thats why i maybe got lazy on reading the forums.. So yeah I try to do better.. But please also use github for issues.....FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Friday 25 October 2019 0:51 but please at least respond on this thread on a regular basis...
Im working with Xamarin Forms in C#.. to build a cross platform Android/iOS app from one source. Ill try to put it higher on the agenda.. (i've already created the settings screens for it.. but had a hard time to get the geofence events in when the app is closed (background)....FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Wednesday 01 January 2020 20:24 *) Having said that, isn't there a GeoFencing library already that does most of the work for you/your app?
**) I wanted to monitor the presence of all my family members and automatically arm the alarm if everyone has left the Geofence area and the last one forgot to arm it... I have not yet found a reliable solution to do that...
Stable or Beta.. because there was a fix in notifications on Domoticz for a long time in beta.. and in the 2020.1 release its finally pushed to stable.FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Wednesday 01 January 2020 20:24 I did at the time, I am using the newest version now (updated to the latest stable when it was released), but I stopped using the App, because it didn't work reliably, and never got any response...
I'll need to look up the GITHUB repo for it then...galadril wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 April 2020 10:01Gotya.. aldo I have like 10 github projects to response to Issue requests.. on the Android project people always made issues on github.. so thats why i maybe got lazy on reading the forums.. IIRC the way it works in iOS is that you set the geofences in there and iOS triggers an event and starts the app when it occurs... It's been a really long time though, so things may be different than I remember...galadril wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 April 2020 10:01Im working with Xamarin Forms in C#.. to build a cross platform Android/iOS app from one source. I built my own version from the Beta branch because the latest stable was so old, and only went back to stable when 2020.1 was released. IIRC my previous build was something like 11734 (does that make sense?)...galadril wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 April 2020 10:01Stable or Beta.. because there was a fix in notifications on Domoticz for a long time in beta.. and in the 2020.1 release its finally pushed to stable.FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Wednesday 01 January 2020 20:24 I did at the time, I am using the newest version now (updated to the latest stable when it was released), but I stopped using the App, because it didn't work reliably, and never got any response...
So notifications should be working again.
This project is available on Github:FearNaBoinne wrote: ↑Tuesday 07 April 2020 12:39 I can only find the "Domoticz for Android" repo... There's no "Domoticz for Apple" repo.
Now you've said you're using a single framework to develop for both, so it is entirely possible that it is one adn the same, but the name doesn't invite people to post Apple/iOS issues in the "Android" branch repo...
