Zigate and group management in Domoticz

Post by TonkaNL »

Hi all,

For some Ikea remotes (or other devices) to work properly in Domoticz, you have to add them to groups.

Here it says how: https://github.com/pipiche38/Domoticz-Z ... -Remote.md

In this step by step manual, it states the following:
Phase 1: bring everyone on the Zigate network
Put the Zigate in pairing mode. I suggest that you put 255 for the Permit to Join parameter. Make sure that you have also enabled 'accept New Hardware' in Domoticz settings.
Enable 'group management' :
You must have the following entry in Domoticz-Zigate plugin file Conf/PluginConf.txt 'enablegroupmanagement':'1', The file will looks like that:
{
channel':'11,15,19,20,25,26',
vibrationAqarasensitivity':'medium',
resetMotiondelay':'30',
enablegroupmanagement':'1',
logLQI':'0',
logFORMAT':'0'
}
However, in my install, there is no file called PluginConf.txt Only PluginConf.json, which is well, the json file.

Must I make this file myself, or do I have to re-install the plugin?

Thanks.

The documentation is a bit out-dated.

The best is to use the Web Interface, that you can reach on port 9440

https://github.com/pipiche38/Domoticz-Z ... terface.md
https://github.com/pipiche38/Domoticz-Z ... igation.md

On teh Web Interface you have to enable Group via Settings and then you can create your group under Group Management

Is there a request hidden in your post? 😬

I can give it a shot..

How does this work? Is there a text template available that I can translate?
