I installed domoticz on a debian machine under an non root account. Everything works fine, all hardware is accessible and Domoticz starts automatically when I (re)boot the machine (via systemctl).
The problem is that when I update Domoticz it downloads the files and updates them. But it does not restarts the service.
I have to go to the console and restart the service manually.
Does the account miss some specific user rights ?

Re: User permissions for updating Domoticz
I recently made a guide to do just that. Install Domoticz on Debian. But I also recently read a couple of things on the forum that the latest beta is less then stable, you could read into that, just search the forum and you will find a big thread.
Anyway, if it could be of any help, take a look at the guide. Perhaps you mist a step along the way...
