Can't see which login I've used, time-out too soon.

Post by ErnieFR »

Hi Domoticz's,
I've only been using Domoticz since several weeks now, and most things simply work great! However, still looking for answers on:

-1- how to prolong the login time, cause after already a few minutes of inactivity, I'm logged out. No matter what level of account, even as Admin. I created 3 users, 3 levels like admin, user, guest. They all get kicked out without any notice or visible status change. Sometimes I, as admin, I edit a whole screen, in Blockly for example, and once finished it appears that I was already logged out automaticly long before I started editing. All lost. Very frustrating. Also because I have a Raspi-Zero with webcam and use it to monitor my animals, I'd like to leave the camwindow open for easily 1 hour since it's only local LAN activity. Can't get that to be usefull this way.

-2- I can't see as whome I'm logged-in! I only know cause I myself defined which user sees which buttons, but that is not how it should be.

-3- The only way I can introduce the cam to guests, is to create a 'scene' object in 'groups' and show that button in the menubar for guests and select the yellow star to make it visible in 'dashboard' too. Even there with the 'scene'-block in the dashboard, it is totally not easy to find for guests this tiny little cam icon in the top right. Once started and the nice view is there, it blocks everything in the background! Can't that be disabled? I'd like to be able to switch-on the lights while watching the cam, to see the difference.

Sorry for all the questions and critisisms, it's ment to inspire improvement, not to complain!
Hopefuly the answers are maybe very simple :-)

Answer on this one is... There is no limit in domoticz on the login time. If you are disconnected it is by something else.

On the other questions. I think these are more suggestions then questions. There is a subforum suggestions so best to post it there. If someone with enough C++ and/or javascript skills share your idea that it would improve domoticz and give it enough priority it might get implemented in one of the next versions but there are not many people with these skills and they are all quite busy so it could take a long time.

@Waaren, thanks for reassuring about the login time-out that does not exist. It is mostly happening when the camera view is opened. But now I know better what to look for.
The other issues I'll try in the other section, thanks!
