I wrote small utility - a bridge which allows to integrate Satel CA-10 alarm system with Domoticz (actually virtually anything what is MQTT capable)
While this Satel model is quite old, outdated, and definitely rather should not be capable to integrate with anything IoT - I still have decided to give it a try, and instead of replacing it with new model - I gave it a small upgrade and a second life.
In my case it is connected to my Domoticz server, running on Raspberry Pi, with USB to RS232 cable.
Requirements and drawbacks -
- on Satel you have to configure printing current events to printer (over RS232 connector),
- to one zone you have to add all inputs which you are interested to get events from,
- and on this zone - enable silent alarm
- mapping of Satel inputs to Domoticz MQTT message (including IDX) are hard-coded (easy to change) , but if anyone will be interested I can add some XML configuration to it.
- it is one-way integration only, means you cannot change anything on Satel side, only listen to events from Satel inputs
