[Solved] Unknown device or GrpMgr not enabled after Zigate IP change

Hi all,

I needed to change my WIFI Zigate public IP , so I did it in the Setting Hardware menu.
Once done no more request where seen on port 9999
I had a bunch of weird SQL disk error IO messages, I decided to reboot domoticz since I wanted to have some traffic from my domoticz to the zigate.
After the reboot the communication came back however i can't pass any order anymore
Here is a log when I try to open a light manually :

How di you change the IP address ? Did you do Update or Add ?
How many zigate plugin do you have in the Domoticz Hardware ?

I don't recall seeing those "Zigate-02" and "-03" before.
Also I didn't do any modification since my post yesterday and this morning the logs are different :

Also the connection with the zigate is lost, i don't see any traffic on port 9999 with a tcpdump.

How many zigate plugin do you have in the Domoticz Hardware ?

My domoticz is a virtual machine I can do snapshots and any tests you'd like.

I don't know what you did when changing the IP address but I suspect that you create a new Hardware or something like that.
- Could you check what files are in plugins/Domoticz-Zigate/Data ?
- Could you go to Domoticz -> Setup -> Hardware (not Devices)
- This is where you enable/disable/add/update plugins ?
- How many Zigate instances do you have ?

Yes, I selected the existing zigate and changed the IP then pushed "Update"
- How many Zigate instances do you have ?
one and IDX is "2"... same thing I am pretty sure it was 1 before...
I have automatic domoticz backups, should I try to reforce an old one (before ip change) and redo the procedure?

It looks like a number of devices have been removed from the Plugin.
May be you delete the Hardware and then Added

The files DeviceList-2.txt-01 .... 12 are previous version and you can see that the size has changed from around 18K to 0 !

This is why you have some error messages of devices which are paired with Zigate, but not known from the plugin and then are most-likely existing in Domoticz !

If you have a backup ( domoticz including the plugins directory ) I think that would be the best.

Then you'll have to update the IP address of Zigate and in that case make sure that you do Update

Zigate Idx was actually 2.

I update the IP(Go to Setup/Hardware/Select Zigate / Change IP / push "UPDATE" not "Add", connection is done again on port 9999

After backup restoration from what I see the plugin Data folder was not restore , it was the same as before restoration

what you can try is the following:
1/ Stop Domoticz
2/ copy Data/DeviceList-2.txt-05 ( or an other number as it changes after each start but the one of size 18816 ) to Data/DeviceList-2.txt
3/Restart Domoticz

This is going to restore a previous version which seems to have all device entries

Indeed doing this works now.
Why do I have that much txt files?
Would you like me to do a snapshot and try to reproduce in order to confirm if it was a misconfiguration from me or not?

Basically the plugin is configured by default to have the 12 last version of the DeviceList (which is the plugin Database).
The 12 is a configurable in the Web Admin -> Settings
