Hi all,
Hopefully somebody is willing to help me...
Today they changed my Kaifa M105 for a Landys+Gyr E360 because I'm going to 3-phases, and also changed the gas meter with it.
For some reason I'm not able to get this working, while the previous setup with Kaifa worked perfectly.
I'm running Domoticz Version: 4.10717 Build Hash: b38b49e5 Compile Date: 2019-05-09 13:04:08.
I've read several threads, the only thing I can imagine that it has something to do with the pullup resistor, allthough the cable seems to be working with the Landys_Gyr E350. It's a cable sold by SOSsolutions.
Checked with CU, and the output was "connected".
Created in hardware a new instance, with the option new hardware/sensors accepted "on". No results what so ever.
Has somebody got this setup: smartmeter with gasmeter working in Domoticz?
Has somebody pointers to look for?
Thanks in advance, Johnnie

Hello Johnnie,
Before you will get any sensor data from the P1 Smart meter into Domoticz, you must be sure that your Smart meter outputs the raw data, in this case, every second.
You said:
Check first your USB by issuing: sudo dmesg|grep USB
Next step is that you are sure, that you look to the correct USB port.
Be aware of the following:
https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/PersistentUSBDevices and/or https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/PersistentUSBDevices
As I have a Landis & Gyr E350, I know a pull-up resistor has to be installed.
For more info see: http://domoticx.com/p1-poort-slimme-meter-hardware/
The Kaifa has an inverted output (See link above) and the Landys &Gyr E360 also, so that should not be a problem.
If you have the possibility to test with a serial cable to e.g. a laptop with a serial port, you can check if you need that pull-up resistor.
Regards

Hi Firewizard,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I ordered a P1 cable with an pull-up resistor and that did the trick!
Best regards, Johnnie

OK,
Good to hear, that it is working.
It is often the cable.

Hi Johnnie,
I seem to be having similar issues with this meter. Where did you end up ordering the right cable? (assuming it's still being sold after all this time)
Thanks!
